## What is Fallacy?

Do you trust your own thinking? Most people unknowingly fall for the same logical fallacies and cognitive biases every day — in conversations, on social media, in the news, and in their own decisions. Fallacy is the first brain training app built to sharpen one critical skill: your ability to think clearly, spot flawed reasoning, and win any argument with logic.

PEOPLE YOU MEET — OUTSMART REAL-LIFE CHARACTERS

Ever tried reasoning with a WhatsApp Uncle who forwards conspiracy theories? Or an overconfident AI that sounds smart but gets everything wrong? In People You Meet, you go head-to-head with characters inspired by people in your life. Spot their logical fallacies, identify their cognitive biases, plan your comeback, and win arguments using critical thinking instead of volume. Every character uses different reasoning tricks — this brain training mode teaches you more about logic and flawed thinking than any textbook.

MASTER 30+ LOGICAL FALLACIES

From Ad Hominem and Straw Man to the Slippery Slope and Appeal to Authority — master every major logical fallacy through real-world brain training scenarios. Each logical fallacy includes clear explanations, everyday examples, and progressive reasoning challenges that build genuine critical thinking. Whether you encounter these logical fallacies in the news, at work, or in a debate, you will spot them instantly after training.

RECOGNIZE 20+ COGNITIVE BIASES

Confirmation bias. Anchoring. The Dunning-Kruger effect. These invisible cognitive biases shape your decisions every day. Fallacy is the only brain training game that teaches you to detect cognitive biases in yourself and others through hands-on reasoning exercises. Understanding your cognitive biases is the foundation of stronger critical thinking and better decisions.

DEBATE MODE — SHARPEN YOUR REASONING

Step into real debates on real topics. Read opposing arguments, spot the logical fallacies hidden inside, and build powerful reasoning skills. Debate Mode is the ultimate brain training for critical thinking — improve how you argue, evaluate claims, and win debates using pure logic. Every debate round strengthens your reasoning and sharpens your ability to spot cognitive biases under pressure.

CHALLENGE MODE — SPOT BIAS IN REAL NEWS

Scroll through headlines and posts from real-world news sources. Your mission: spot the flawed reasoning and logical fallacies before time runs out. Challenge Mode is brain training for the real world — building the critical thinking and media literacy skills you need to detect cognitive biases in the news you consume daily.

PRECISION IQ SCORING & PROGRESS TRACKING

Your reasoning ability is measured with a precision IQ score that updates as you train. Track your 30, 60, and 90-day progress. Watch your critical thinking improve with clear insights into your cognitive growth. Brain training works best when you see results — Fallacy shows you exactly how your reasoning improves over time.

DAILY BRAIN EXERCISES & 5 DIFFICULTY LEVELS

Build a daily brain training habit with fresh logic puzzles and reasoning challenges every day. Maintain your streak and strengthen your mental fitness. Five difficulty levels take you from beginner to expert reasoning — keeping brain training challenging no matter your skill level.

WHY FALLACY IS THE SMARTEST BRAIN TRAINING APP

Other brain games train memory or math. Fallacy is the only brain training app focused on logical fallacies, cognitive biases, and real-world critical thinking. From planning a comeback against flawed reasoning to winning debates with logic — this is brain training that makes you smarter in conversations, arguments, and everyday life.

### 5/5 — Absolutely Realistic

*2026-08-14*

This app teaches the fallacy in everyday lives especially how to tackle family meetings, whatsapp junk ,debates and social media scroll

**Developer response:** Family meetings and WhatsApp junk might be the toughest testing ground there is — glad it holds up there. Thanks for the kind words. — the Fallacy team

### 1/5 — 每次打开都要重新过一遍新手教程

*2026-08-05*

恶心死了

### 5/5 — Deutscher Nutzer hier :)

*2026-08-04*

### 4/5 — Grateful this app exists

*2026-07-23*

Mostly this app is great. The games are straightforward and get you practicing your logical fallacy spotting skills immediately. My only criticism is that some of the examples in the “people you meet” category feel AI generated or the writing is just really clunky and awkward. Maybe it’s meant to be vague so that it doesn’t seem to political but the vague robotic language is unnecessarily confusing.

**Developer response:** This is useful and specific — thank you. You're right that some of the "people you meet" scenarios read stiffly, and the vagueness meant to keep them apolitical has made a few of them genuinely confusing instead. We're going back through that category. — the Fallacy team

### 5/5 — Critical in this era

*2026-07-06*

Such a useful app and essential life training. Highly recommended!

**Developer response:** Thank you — "essential life training" is a high bar, and we'll keep trying to earn it. — the Fallacy team

### 5/5 — I actually LEARNED something?!?!

*2026-05-02*

Downloaded, and I’ve always been curious about logical fallacies… but never done the research. I love your app, and it has a Duolingo feel to it, which is high praise. I’ve already gotten through the first 2 lessons and I’ve actually learned something (gasp). Great work!

**Developer response:** Hi Sorimka,
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review — it genuinely means a lot to our small team. The "Duolingo feel" comparison is the highest compliment you could give us, because that was exactly the design goal: keep the lessons short, a little addictive, and actually informative by the end.

### 1/5 — Propaganda framing

*2026-04-13*

Partisan politics embedded. These topics can be taught without choosing a consistently biased contemporary frame.

**Developer response:** Hi @non23,

Thank you for raising this concern directly, and for taking the time to write the review. We want to address it seriously rather than dismiss it.

Our intent with Challenge Mode and Debate Mode is to use real, contemporary examples so that reasoning lessons feel grounded and relevant — but those examples should be drawn from across the political spectrum and across ideological viewpoints, never weighted toward any single one. If the experience felt one-sided, that's a meaningful problem and one we want to fix.

We're already conducting an editorial audit of the content library on exactly this axis, with a rebalance queued for upcoming releases.

If you would be willing to share the specific scenarios that felt biased to you, please email us at hello@vertexstudios.online — that level of detail would directly shape the audit.

We genuinely appreciate the feedback.

### 5/5 — Great app for time killing!

*2026-04-07*

Interesting, sleek, intuitive app with interesting questions. It would be sticky if user can experience more in the free version. I wanted to see more but was only stopped by the paywall.

**Developer response:** Hi Boohyys,
Thank you for the thoughtful review — and for the honest feedback on the paywall. This is exactly the kind of constructive note we want to hear.

### 5/5 — amazing animation

*2026-04-03*

very interesting app, smooth login, great tutorial

**Developer response:** Thank you. The onboarding and tutorial got a lot of internal attention — making the first 60 seconds feel right matters more than any single feature — so it's great to see that come through on your side.

### 5/5 — Great app to learn about logical thinking

*2026-04-02*

Learned a lot about logical fallacies using this app. Very useful and informative

**Developer response:** Hallo Milad,
Vielen Dank for the kind review. Hearing that you actually learned something — and found the experience useful and informative — is the highest bar we set for ourselves. Most "brain games" exercise memory or reflexes; we wanted Fallacy to teach a skill you carry into real conversations and real decisions.
