The fall season is gaining speed, and so are we.

NEW FEATURES IN IOS 27
- Ask Siri. Fallcast provides fall colors directly to Siri. Try:
    - “Hey Siri, what's the color in Stowe in Fallcast?”
    - “Hey Siri, what’s the color near me in Fallcast?”
    - “Hey Siri, how is my Blue Ridge trip looking in Fallcast?”
- Search from your Home Screen. Results are now in Spotlight search. Type a location, a tree species name, or the name of one of your saved trips. You can get your answer without opening Fallcast.
- Live Activities. On travel days the Live Activity will show information about your next stop.
- Extra Large Widget. A new extra large widget gives you significantly more foliage information.

ALSO NEW
- Color intensity forecasts are provided for all locations, even dropped pins.
- Fallcast now runs on iOS 18.6.

IMPROVEMENTS
- Standardized place cards so button layout and navigation interactions are more consistent.
- The app asks for location sharing up front, improving the walkthrough tutorial experience.
- The weather forecast now includes icons for partly cloudy and mostly cloudy.
- Map opening logic is more predictable.
- Searching for a location plus the state name no longer confuses the search.
- Improved the trip-taking confirmation workflow.

FIXES
- A place could show two different peak color ranges on its card.
- Towns that are also color destinations occupied multiple places in search. 
- The timing map could come up blank.
- Cleaned up Wikipedia link logic.
- A few places that weren’t showing on the map are now visible. 
- Information on Trips Overview and Itinerary tabs could sometimes disagree.
- Peeper was doing too much waiting to show the pace of fall color changing. That map would never have unlocked. It’s visible now.
- Clarified the color pace legend.
- Better handling of low temperatures and pace of color change.
- Fixed a few map gestures and interactions.
