Location sharing is more reliable:

• Fixed the big one: family members no longer show as "No signal" when their phone is working fine. Location keeps updating when the app is closed, backgrounded, or the phone has been sitting still.

• Faster recovery on iPhone after the app is closed — your location refreshes after a short walk instead of a long drive.

• Clearer status when someone isn't reporting. "Battery died", "Background sharing off", and "Updating…" now replace the catch-all "No signal", so you can tell at a glance whether something's actually wrong.

• Low battery alerts: a heads-up before a family member's phone dies.

• The map now opens on the circle you were last viewing, instead of jumping to the first one.

• Fixed a moment when switching circles could briefly show the previous circle's members.

• Assorted fixes so sharing keeps running through poor connections, restarts, and signing in on a second device.

### 1.0.10 — 2026-08-16

Location sharing is now far more reliable: your circle keeps seeing you even when the app is closed, and the app recovers automatically in the background. You can now change your display name from Settings (once every 3 days). Plus clearer warnings when a phone setting is limiting location sharing, and smoother, more accurate location updates.
