## What is Family Daily Planner?

Family Daily Planner brings your family's daily life into one view: tomorrow's plans, what to pack, and weather-appropriate clothing, at a glance in the evening or morning.

TODAY AND THE WEEK
See today's and tomorrow's plans, chores, and reminders on one card. The app reads your phone's calendar and reminds you what to pack. The week view shows the whole family's rhythm at once.

FAMILY
Each family member gets their own weekly schedule. Chores rotate fairly between adults and kids, and kids earn stars for completed chores — redeemable for a reward. The notebook stores wifi passwords, clothing sizes, contacts, and other everyday details.

FOOD AND SHOPPING
Plan the week's meals from ready-made recipes or add your own — even by scanning a photo. The shopping list syncs to your phone's Reminders app, which you can share with a partner.

THE WHOLE FAMILY, TOGETHER
Share the app with other adults via iCloud — everyone sees and edits the same daily life. A child's own phone gets a simple view with large confirmation buttons. A grandparent or other loved one can get a view-only version.

APPLE WATCH
Confirm a chore right from your wrist, and evening and morning reminders also reach the watch.

PRIVACY FIRST
No account and no server of our own. Your family's data stays on your phone and, if you choose, in your own iCloud. The weather service only receives an approximate location, and the subscription status is checked with the payment processor (RevenueCat) using an anonymous ID. No ads, no tracking.

Try it free for 14 days.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 0.15.5 — 2026-10-28

What's new:
• Family sharing fixed: phones and Apple Watch that joined the family no longer drop out of sharing, and a device that dropped out rejoins by itself. If someone's device no longer updates, send them a new invite.
• Ticks from Apple Watch reach the family's phones and the family display again.
• Apple Watch finds the family through its paired iPhone, and the event card fits on a small watch too.

In 0.15.4:
• On the family display, finished star events stay under Not yet ticked off until they are ticked off.
• The No button under Did it get done? removes a daily task from the list.
• Ticks show on every device: something ticked off on the watch, a child's phone or the family display shows as done on the watch too, even when no adult's phone is open.
• Apple Watch now also finds the family through its paired iPhone, and the watch user is preselected from the phone. A watch joined with a code stays in the family more reliably.

We update the app continuously and add features based on user feedback and our own findings.

In 0.15.3:
• The family display doubles as a digital photo frame: when the screen hasn't been touched for a while, the iPad shows your own photos full screen. Without photos the screen saver shows a dimmed, moving clock that protects the screen at night too.
• Mark a calendar as a special-days calendar: its events show as special days and always appear in the week's and the family display's highlights.
• Your own second device, such as an iPad, recognises you in the family by itself, and your own settings follow you there.
• In family sharing you can change whether the device is the family's main device or your second device.
• The app tells you when a new version is in the App Store and takes you to the update with one tap.

### 0.15.3 — 2026-10-23

What's new:
• The family display doubles as a digital photo frame: when the screen hasn't been touched for a while, the iPad shows your own photos full screen. Without photos the screen saver shows a dimmed, moving clock that protects the screen at night too.
• Mark a calendar as a special-days calendar: its events show as special days and always appear in the week's and the family display's highlights.

• In family sharing you can change whether the device is the family's main device or your second device.
• The app tells you when a new version is in the App Store and takes you to the update with one tap.

In 0.15.2:
• Your own settings follow you to your second device: appearance, language, notification times and view choices are the same on iPhone and iPad.
• Pick the date of a special day from a month calendar.
• Type times and dates with digits only, such as 1730 or 24102026.
• Assign a calendar to several people, and the event shows on each person's own card.
• Add a Family card to the family display for whole-family events, and Family calendars now show on the family's other devices too.
• Recipe ingredients: choose the missing ones and add them to the shopping list, or mark that everything is at home.
• Family roles: the admin manages roles and members, and Family sharing explains what each role can see and do.
• Clearing the founder's second device, such as an iPad, now affects only that device.
• Your own recipe photo shows in the family display's daily menu, and the tips cover second devices and family roles.

Also in 0.15:
• Apple Watch app: children see what's next, tick off tasks to earn a star and check what to pack. Adults see the whole family's day, the shopping list and chores, and answer ride requests right from the notification. Includes watch face complications and Smart Stack widgets. A child's own watch joins the family with a code, no iPhone of their own needed.
• Family display for iPad: the whole family's day at a glance, on the wall or in the kitchen. Weather, clock, a photo, today's menu, highlights, and everyone's events, things to take and chores. Tick off chores and items right on the display, and see a dimmed clock at night. The family display can start automatically when the iPad is charging, and a Focus on the iPad can silence other notifications.
• iPad in landscape: a sidebar, and on Today your events and the selected event's details side by side.
• Colour schemes: choose from five (Icon, Evening wood, Forest, Rose and Classic), with a separate one for the family display if you like. The new default uses the colours of the app icon; choose Classic to get the earlier green look back.
• Travel time for events: Today and the family display show when to leave and when you'll be home.
• Birthdays and ages for family members.
• Changes now reach the family's other devices faster.
• Your own second device, such as an iPad, now finds your family by itself with the same Apple ID, no invite link needed. The same helps if you reinstall the app.
• Photos of family members, plans and recipes now appear on all the family's devices when family sharing is on. You can crop a person's photo when choosing it.
• New app icon.
