My only complaint is that twice in the last year I’ve had to delete the app and reinstall after realizing that my stuff wasn’t on my families phone. I have the family stuff most updated so I hate to lose it. I did reach out to customer service to see if they could help me figure out what to do but I did not get a response. I was looking for an organizing and planning app for a long time but you pay for all of them. After scrolling for ten minutes in the App Store I found the first free app which was this one. I am the 12 year old daughter but I am the one doing everything. I got my family on this app and it really keeps my dad, stepmom and brother more organized. My parents are divorced so I put the days that we go back and forth and all that stuff. This is also useful for if I have a school event because I put it on there and my dad makes it on time. I still like my hard copy planner and I just don’t like how Google calendar works and can’t get behind it for anything other than work appointments. So she found this app for us. I like it! It’s very ascetically pleasing! It’s great how we can “assign” a family member (or more than one) to the event. I do wish there was a “private” option so that all my stuff that the family doesn’t care about doesn’t have to be shown on their calendars. Same with the checklists and To Do Lists… I would like an option to have a “private” list that is not shared. I just don’t like clogging up everyone else’s calendars with my individual list. Otherwise, everything works great. We have no issues with anything. Love the simplicity and the sharing! I don’t think I’ll ditch my paper calendar yet, but it is very helpful for my teen to be able to pull everything up and know when her doctor appointments are in a few minutes. I do wish there was an option to not that certain colors are for certain events. Such as purple is for all family members, orange is for appt. Blue is for dentist. It’s adding an extra day on to everything I do. I have even gone back in and changed it (my work schedule) so that it was correct & then next time I went in…it had gone back to adding extra days. So I’m having to recheck everything to make sure so I don’t miss work. I haven’t really used it since it’s been doing that because it’s just not reliable anymore. As it is, I would say it’s decent because what good is a digital calendar that have to open the app to see? I set up my family account, verified email and filled in EVERYTHING to get started. Went to sync for my husband to join and it keeps crashing saying I do not have an email set up. I went through the whole process. It has so many cute features that are missing on so many of these other calendar apps, I highly recommend! I find this Family Organizer app great for keeping my bills and due dates straight. I use pink if they’re on auto pay, blue if I have to pay it and then turn them black once they clear the bank. I mark birthdays and other reminders are in different colors. I’ve really grown to rely on it as a daily tool. I’ve never been so organized! My only wish is there would be more colors added. The different shades of pink and blue are too hard to distinguish between. The interface is simple to use which I appreciate. You can store recipes, track your spending, color code things, I love the notes section and the to-do lists. I’m a very organized person and I need things to be in one place. Says I don’t have email address registered even tho I do and I’m signed in. ### 5/5 — Phenomenal family organizer app *2024-05-12, version 1.6.10* TLDR: Great app, no need to pay to get the features you’ll love, give it a try if you’re interested! (Background) My wife and I had been trying to find a smooth way to sync and organize a calendar for our family, we tried a shared Google calendar, which worked in a basic sense but wasn’t great when it came to adding monthly expenses, etc. Then we used an app called Cozi, which was a huge step up from the shared Google calendar in terms of features but lacked an aesthetic appeal. Then one day I stumbled upon this app, and it had much of the functionality of Cozi but with beautiful aesthetics! We switched everything over into this new app and I haven’t looked back! I can’t say it will work perfectly for everyone, but it was a great decision for me and my wife, and I also recently set my parents up on it so that they can keep each other in the loop regarding their travel schedules and other plans. (Pros) - Ability to add expenses/credits to calendar days, making it easy to keep track of income and bills/expenses. There’s an option to set them as recurring so that you don’t have to enter those items manually each time - Wallet tab that calculates your monthly profit by subtracting total expenses from total credits/income. It gives a snapshot of how much you’re in the red or the black each month based on the expenses you’ve inputted. - Family/Sync tab that lets you sync the account across multiple devices so that each family member can update the calendar, with changes being shown in real time. **Just make sure the first person creates the family account and the subsequent users log in to that existing account using the same email and shared password. If they put in different email, the app won’t recognize the email address and you’ll have issues syncing. -And much more! I didn’t want to take the time to list everything here so please download the app and try it yourself😂 (Cons) - There are occasional visual formatting errors in the daily calendar view. You may be able to fix them by closing the app and then opening again fresh. - Your app may have a crash issue. If it does, you can delete and reinstall the app on your phone and it should work fine. That is what happened to my dad. - Aside from that, each person may have different “Oh, I wish the app had this…” moments. I encourage you to write a review letting the developers know to see if that feature can be added in a future update! (Conclusion) Reading over what I wrote, this review sounds very positive, and it should be! This app has really helped me and my family. If you give it a try and don’t like it, there may be things that it’s lacking that you need, so there may be a better app out there for you. But I suggest giving it a try and seeing if it’s something you’ll like and benefit from using. If it is, great! If not, I hope you find the app you’re looking for and can prosper with it😊 -Aaron ### 5/5 — 10/10 just wish it had personal monthly view *2023-07-03, version 1.6.8* The support team informed me to set up an email with the account to invite people or export the data from the calendar - you need to go to your phone settings -> mail -> and add your personal email there so the app can use it that way. NOW that that’s been figured out - this app is 10/10! Great layout, visually appealing and LOVE that I can select to just view my own events if I want to. I only wish I could view my own events on demand in the monthly view as well (it only lets you in the daily view).
