Open the app and you seem a 'Sample Smith' family tree example, which can be browsed. It is nearly impossible to work out what to do next - the 'Setup' button just sets a password. Eventually I managed to delete the sample tree and create a new entry. Add new entries and you just get a list - there is no representation of a family tree even though you have added a 'Son' or 'Daughter' etc. Tap on 'App Support' in iTunes and you are taken to an expired website with links for health products. ### 1/5 — Not ready!! *2012-02-18, version 1.1* Not user friendly. Just a list of dates and names. Doesn't show in diagram form so can't see family connections. No instructions. Don't buy this app! ### 1/5 — Featureless *2012-02-03, version 1.0* This app barely allows you to do anything that you can't do without it. The only upside is that unlike many other first version apps it does not crash. Should also come with a help, or "getting started" file. Took a while to figure this out on my own. You have to start at the top of your tree because the app only allows you to add descendants, no ancestors. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Immediately broke *2022-11-27, version 4.66* The app comes with 2 sample family trees. I deleted them, and the app crashed. Now, when I open it, it says “Loading…” and nothing ever loads. I bricked it! Crazy. If that’s going to break it, why allow them to be deleted? Deleted the app and never bothered to re-download. Kinda ugly anyway. Not worth a dollar, doesn't even explain how to use it! ## Most praised reviews (6 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Family Tree *2021-02-19, version 4.66* This is the perfect family tree for privacy, I can add any info on family members without it going out to the world. I have used it for family reunions creating a 9 page PDF with the option, printing and then handing out. Everyone loved it. I subscribe to several genealogy site but didn’t add all info because I always had people who wanted me to respect their privacy or that of their children. It takes some time learning exactly how to use it but well worth the effort.
