## What is Famlist?

FamList is the shared household kitchen, on every phone in the family.

Track what you have. See what's running low. Build a shopping list together. Get AI dinner ideas tonight that respect every dietary need: the kid who won't touch anything green, the partner with a gluten allergy, the teen going vegetarian this month. Snap a receipt at checkout and the pantry stocks itself.

  WHAT'S INSIDE
  • Shared family pantry that updates in real time on every member's phone
  • Aisle-grouped shopping list with auto-add when stock runs low
  • Receipt scan that stocks the pantry and crosses items off the list, in one tap
  • AI dinner suggestions tailored to who's at the table tonight, weighted toward what's expiring
  • Per-member dietary profiles: allergies, dietary modes, and an "in your own words" taste field
  • Save recipes, rate them as a family, filter by rating, cuisine, and cook time
  • Cooking log that decrements quantities and refines suggestions over time

PRIVACY FIRST
We don't sell your family's data. Receipt photos go to Google Gemini just long enough to parse them, then they're gone. Account deletion is one tap and erases everything immediately, the way GDPR Article 17 spells out. No ads. No tracking.

Built for the family table.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 0.3.1 — 2026-06-02

Improved: Scan a grocery receipt to add items to your pantry and check them off your shopping list in one step.

New: Full iPad support with layouts made for the bigger screen.

Refined visuals across the app.

### 0.3.0 — 2026-05-26

A redesign and a smarter pantry-to-recipe flow.

  In this release:
  • Editorial redesign. Magazine-style headers, dividers, and cover
cards across the app. Cleaner, more readable, more like a household
    cookbook than a checklist.
  • QR codes for invites. Generate a QR code to invite someone to your
household, or scan one on the join screen to come on board faster.
  • Pantry-aware recipes. Recipe ingredients now show what you already
have versus what is missing, and you can bulk-add the missing items
to your shopping list with one tap.
  • Better recipe steps. AI-generated recipes now include explicit
cook times and temperatures so you are not guessing "cook until
    done."

### 0.2.0 — 2026-05-07

What's New for v0.2.0:
Meet FamList. Same shared pantry app, new name, with the family angle baked in everywhere.

  In this release:
  • Smarter aisle categorization. Potato chips, tortilla chips, and cheese balls now go to Snacks instead of Produce, Bakery, or Dairy.
  • Mozzarella, parmesan, ricotta, and other specific cheeses now properly land in Dairy & eggs.
  • New food icons for garlic, onion, broccoli, citrus, berries, and many more so the pantry looks like a pantry, not a list of letters.
  • Refreshed splash screen.
  • Renamed from Pantrease throughout the app.

### 0.1.5 — 2026-05-06

No release notes.
