## What is Famously?

Famously is a social network built around people worth following — creators, professionals and businesses. Watch, follow and socialize, then take the conversation further with a private one-to-one video call.

Share posts, photos and videos. Post stories that last a day. Drop a FAMO that expires on your schedule. Follow the accounts you care about, comment, and message them privately.

And when a post isn't enough, book time with the person behind it.

What Can You Do:
• A personal feed of the people and topics you follow
• Explore to discover new creators, places and hashtags
• Stories and FAMO drops — short-form video that expires
• Private messages, with photos, videos and shared posts
• Like, comment, and tag people and places in what you post

Talk Directly:
• Book a private one-to-one video call with a creator or expert
• Pick from their published availability, pay securely, and join from the app
• Extend a call if you need more time
• Calls are never recorded, and screen capture is blocked while you're in one

For Creators and Professionals:
• Build an audience and earn from your content as an eligible creator
• Set your own price per call and the length of your slots
• Publish your availability and control which slots are bookable
• Get paid straight to your bank account

Safety and Control:
• Report any post, message, profile or call
• Block anyone and they disappear from your experience
• Make your account private and approve followers yourself
• Location is used only when you choose to tag a place for posts

### 2.0.4 — 2026-08-27

Famously 2.0 is a different app.

We started as a way to book video calls with experts. Famously is now a social network — a feed, stories, short-form video and messaging — with those calls still built in.

New in 2.0:
• A home feed of the people you follow, and Explore to discover new ones
• Posts, photos and videos, with likes and comments
• Stories that last a day, and FAMO — short video that expires when you choose
• Private messages, including photos, videos and shared posts
• Hashtags, place tags, and search across people, posts and tags
• Private accounts with follower approval, plus reporting and blocking throughout

Calls are still here. Book a one-to-one video call with a creator or expert, publish your own availability and price, and extend a call while you're in it. Two changes: calls are no longer recorded, and screen capture is blocked while you're in one.

Your account, your call history and your balance carry over. Just update and sign in as usual.

This release was close to a rebuild, so if anything looks wrong, tell us from Settings → Support — we reply to every ticket.
