### 3/5 — Pricey

*2026-08-07, version 1.8.5*

While the free version is useful, it only really helps with the absolute basics

I wish there was more available for free because the paid versions are so expensive

As a teenager I don’t have £25 for each month and I can’t ask my parents for that kind of money!!!

I wish there was just a few more things but very helpful abd lovely app

### 5/5 — Fancy feats is actually quite good value these days

*2025-11-04*

I saw lots of comments regarding the high subscription costs for this app. I think it is quite good value now so check it out again if you are interested in learning jump rope. It’s really such a good app.

### 5/5 — Worth it!

*2025-11-04, version 1.6.9*

I have learned so much since I started using this app! Between the dopamine and cardio from learning jump rope, I could not recommend more. Easy tutorials and awesome routines for inspiration, too!

### 5/5 — Jump

*2025-09-18, version 1.6.7*

Very good

### 5/5 — User friendly

*2025-09-06, version 1.6.7*

Everything is great and clear as day, only suggestion would be to dull out the actively box once complete.

### 5/5 — Worth it!

*2025-08-26, version 1.6.7*

I began jump-roping 3 years ago after seeing Lauren on YouTube shorts, I never signed up for the app because I learned a lot of the footwork just by watching, but I just got the full price app and immediately the first day I corrected my form and am already learning new skills, even if you don't remain a paying customer forever, the skills will stay with you so I think even just a couple months membership will work wonders

### 5/5 — Follow the program, get results!

*2025-07-02*

Lauren has done all the thinking for you! I love how she breaks down every part of the process and scaffolds the program for success and to avoid injury. As a 53F with no coordination, I never thought I could master jumping but after only two weeks, I am seeing huge gains.

### 5/5 — So many tricks!

*2025-06-24*

I’m so impressed with the number of tricks, footwork, skills etc. Love the skill map. Helps someone like me who is eager to learn hard things first slow down and go at an appropriate and sustainable pace. I haven’t gotten into the combos yet but I know as I nail down more skills the combos are going to be super fun. Thank you Lauren and your team for putting so much time and effort into making a truly fun app!

### 2/5 — It’s OK just the money

*2025-05-21, version 1.6.7*

OK, just at first when I downloaded it. I was so excited because I already follow her on YouTube, but after a little while when I was on you literally literally she made me pay. I don’t wanna pay

### 3/5 — Review from a 14-year-old girl

*2025-03-30*

I love the idea of this app, but I could not pull through to pay the money for the subscription, but it is a lot cheaper than workout classes. Still, I’d rather just learn it myself off of her YouTube channel or TikTok account. I’m sure that this app proves super useful and can help others a lot, but I’m not ready to spend that much money for something I can otherwise do for a little more work. Otherwise, I love this app.

### 2/5 — Doesn’t let the trial

*2025-03-28*

I downloaded and chose the 7dats trial, it said there was some error and no there is no free trial option. I can only buy subscription without knowing what it is and how it works

**Developer response:** Hello! Please make sure you’re tapping the “subscribe” button and not the “restore” button. If you’re still having issues, please send a screenshot to support@fancyfeats.app so we can assist. It’s definitely working so, once you’re in, please do update your review with your thoughts on the subscription itself. L x

### 5/5 — Worth the money, but maybe not if you’re advanced.

*2025-03-24*

I’m currently on the free trial and going to subscribe for the premium membership because the app is well laid out and designers actually listen to what’s needed. If you read the 1 star reviews, everything from pricing, layout, design; is addressed.
I’m an intermediate level jump roper and weigh 250lbs. I come from a martial arts, dancing background. Jumping rope is always one of those things that I always thought that be cool if I had someone to teach me the advance stuff. And the app layouts very well a skills tree to roadmap how to navigate skill progression; there’s a timer to track time so you don’t jump rope too much(which is not healthy); and there are tutorial breakdowns of every move. When you go to the tutorial section it breaks down to basic skills; footwork; and then tricks, which then breaks down into multiple categories. It VERY well thought out and honestly wish more things were taught with this layout. If you’re wanting a break from your cardio or lifting program or want to spice up your jump roping for martial arts or whatever this is the app to get. Private lessons for any instructor in most physical skills are easily more expensive and with this you can go at your pace track your time; and ease into it.

### 4/5 — Really useful

*2025-03-16, version 1.6.6*

Seems like a straight forward process to follow and helps build up at a good pace!

### 3/5 — It won’t let me in

*2025-03-14, version 1.6.6*

I rlly wanted this app but every time I go to fill out my date of birth it tells me there is an unknown error even though I am totally old enough to have this app.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Subscription

*2026-02-08, version 1.8.3*

Terrible that you only get one free video, I know people
need money after making these apps but it’s seems like a really good app and I’m just annoyed that I’m not even going to be able to use it.

### 1/5 — Cant access

*2025-11-08*

Was ok since they as to reinstall the app to fixed bugs. Now: cant acces

**Developer response:** Hey! We’re so sorry about that - what you experienced wasn’t related to the reinstall for bug fixes. Users had been reinstalling the app without any issues last week. On Saturday, though, our hosting provider had a major outage that affected access for everyone. Our devs worked through the night to switch to an alternative provider, and things have been running smoothly again since early Sunday morning. This kind of thing almost never happens, and we really appreciate your patience while it got sorted. If you’re enjoying the app again, hopefully you can update your rating & review at some point 😊 L x

### 1/5 — No tricks shown

*2025-10-19*

I paid $30 for a three month subscription, but Doesn’t have any access to the tricks, which is what I signed up for, only thing it shows you is cross, arms, and double unders, which are pretty basic and I already know how to do.
All other skills request that you upgrade, had kind of like to see learning any skills before I spend that kind of money .

### 1/5 — Paywall before even seeing app?

*2025-05-05, version 1.6.7*

I have never left a review before and I really like your YouTube videos. As a software engineer and creator of successful paid sass products heres some advice - stop listening to whoever is designing your application flow, a manual sign up page before even getting to see the app? A paywall immediately after this?
Whoever’s idea for this is full of greed. I can see by your download numbers that people have immediately deleted the app at one of these two points. I understand you put a lot of time and effort into this (and you want to make money from your creation), and the idea with the skills tree seems like a genuinely good idea that thousands of people would use and recommend to others, but these two simple frictions points has completely killed the app!!

Correct flow - immediate access to the app > have 1 exercise unlocked and let them try it! Also let them see and scroll in the skills tree > if they want to do anything else in the app THEN show them the paywall and sign up page

Gosh this design is like expecting someone to walk into a restaurant, pay the waitress on entrance before even being allowed sit down to ask for the menu

Happy to offer further advice - I believe this could actually be quite successful

### 1/5 — Not worth it don’t click on the app

*2025-04-12, version 1.6.7*

I wanted to learn some cool jump roping tricks after watching her on YouTube and she mentioned the app so I download and I have to pay 25$ for an app!! Don’t click on unless you’re ready to pay 25$ a month

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2025-04-05*

I really liked the YouTube videos. Now I have a way worse impression from LJ. The price is insane. Greedy

**Developer response:** Sorry you feel that way. £6.99-£14.99 per month is incredible value for money and enables us to keep adding new content and updating features. I do wonder if perhaps you’re just referring to old and outdated reviews?
Should you actually use the app, you’ll appreciate how much time and effort has gone into it. And, since you mentioned greed, app development isn’t cheap - it’s not a path for those who are actually greedy.
Nevertheless, hopefully you can continue to enjoy my YouTube videos for free.
All the best. L x

### 1/5 — Designed for ultimate beginners,

*2025-03-04*

I have an intermediate jump rope capability. The fact that I have to complete every single module that the designer deems necessary before I can move on to more advanced combos and tricks is absurd. She is of excellent talent in jump roping and I’m bummed this app isn’t designed to meet the community where they are, at whatever level they are at. I should be able to join and not have to complete basic skills to access more complex ones.

**Developer response:** Hey! You very easily mark skills you can already do as complete. If you head to the skill map, starting at the basic bounce, you simply tap one button to mark it as complete. You don’t need to watch any videos. It takes less than 5 seconds to do this for each skill. For very advanced users who need to mark every single skill as complete on the skill map in order to unlock combos etc, it would take about 15 minutes to do this for the whole map and you only have to do it once. All this being said, I do recommend you watch the tutorials to ensure you’re performing all skills correctly. Do feel free to drop us a DM on instagram if you need assistance! It’s a shame you’ve written off the app over something that takes 15 minutes and is an essential part of making sure you’re capable to tackle advanced skills, combos and routines. Thanks, L x

### 1/5 — Does not work programs do not open

*2025-02-09*

Does not work programs do not open

**Developer response:** Hey! Sorry you’re experiencing this issue but we are not able to replicate it. Please ensure you do not have a VPN active as this can interfere with video playback. If the problem persists, please contact support@fancyfeats.app who will be able to help find out what is triggering the issue on your device. L x

### 1/5 — No no no

*2025-01-23, version 1.6.5*

This app is well over its worth I have followed Lauren through her journey followed by the dope ropes etc.
And it’s strait into the money u don’t get a trial or nothing not good

### 1/5 — Poor Quality & No videos

*2025-01-07*

Very poor quality app. Videos don’t play and customer service isn’t helpful. After buying an annual subscription, couldn’t see even 1 video.

**Developer response:** Hello, I’m sorry to hear that this was your experience. We have thousands of members using the app with no video playback issues. Please ensure you have an internet connection and do not have a VPN active. We do our best to help members with any issues but we are limited when the issue is device related. I suggest you contact Apple as they may be able to find the problem by accessing your device remotely. Hopefully you can get this sorted and enjoy the app. L x

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Worth it

*2026-08-14*

I thought I would be stuck in a double bounce forever, but the way the lessons are put together made it all make sense. For me the app is worth the subscription price loving it so far!!

### 5/5 — Fancy Feats Starter

*2026-04-22*

I just downloaded the Fancy Feats Application and ordered 2 pink ropes from Dopamine.
I watched a few of the vids from Fancy Feats and I am excited to start jumping.
I think Lauren is amazing as a person and her jump-roping skills are so fun to watch.
Lauren is easy on the eyes, wears super-cute get-ups, and works so hard to put out a variety of routines - they are never boring.
Thank you Lauren.

### 5/5 — 10/10 would recommend!!!!

*2026-02-18, version 1.8.3*

I was hesitant to subscribe because of the price, but it is SO WORTH IT!! It’s set up so well as far as learning footwork and tricks in a doable progression. And the routines are such a fun way to workout!! I was trying to learn off of YouTube before, and this app honestly makes it sooo much easier. I always look forward to my daily jump rope workout!!

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2026-02-16, version 1.8.3*

Very good

### 5/5 — Nice app! :)

*2026-02-11*

Has a few free video tutorials! :)

### 5/5 — Great app

*2025-12-15*

Lauren is probably the best you can find on the internet to teach you how to jump rope. Unfortunately I can't afford the pro version but the free version is more than enough to get you started

### 5/5 — Let’s Fly!

*2025-12-04*

I’m 63. 30 years ago I was a serious jumper in NYC. I’ve never much taken time off, but as I’ve aged, my body has changed and my limits decreased. No complaints just part of life. Using this app has put an enormous smile on my face. When I pick it up I think LET’S FLY - and it takes me back decades. Thank you so much! It makes me feel wonderful.

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2025-11-10, version 1.7.0*

Such a great app to build skills a bit at a time. As a total beginner I really appreciate it!

### 5/5 — Perfect app

*2025-11-07*

I just want to write a huge thank you to Lauren for the light she gives and for changing my life. 10 years ago, I wanted to learn how to jump rope, but I didn't have the money for a trainer or the confidence to learn on my own. This year, I saw Lauren's YouTube channel and fell in love with her work. When I found out about the training app, I was overjoyed. However, the app turned out to be even better than I expected. It's perfect for me, and I really like the structure and the ability to mark achievements. Thank you so much, Lauren, for creating this app and making my life better. The only thing I'd like to improve is the ability to include well-designed subtitles, as the built-in subtitles often don't work well.
