I used the fandango app to get these tickets and haven’t had any issues before. This is experience was hands down the worse I’ve had in any movie theater. Now, as someone who used fandango exclusively for tickets, I felt some comfort that knowing this company, customer service would do SOMETHING to aide in this disappointing experience. Not only did the do nothing, they just wasted time to the point where it was past the deadlines of requesting a refund. I submitted my customer service ticket 30 minutes after leaving the theater, they didn’t get back to me for 4 days. When they did get back to me, they apologized for the inconvenience and they asked for the receipt information which gave me solace in the hopes I’d be refunded. 5 days later, they emailed me back saying I have to review the theaters return policy and see if I can get refunded. So they basically took two weeks to respond back saying “hey, you’re out of luck.” I will not be using their services again and I don’t think anyone reading this should either. Obviously I was in the midst of dealing with that so when I called fandango, the movie had already been 20 minutes in and they said “sorry, strict policy, no refund” now I’m down a car and $50 I talked to the theater about it and they told me to only purchase tickets through them because they will refund your money even after it has started because life happens. Crazy thing is. I’ve been getting my tickets through fandango since I graduated high school and I’m 31 now. FOREVER DELETING THE APP. Lost a loyal customer for life. I entered the Wei g date and tried to change the date PRIOR to showtime but was unsuccessful. I even went to theater before movie began)previews were still playing) I was told I had to contact Fandango and they were kind enough to provide me with the #. Calling Fandango immediately and waiting 45 minutes they said there was nothing they could do. I was not asking for the 100 dollars back just a date change. Did I mention we were the only people in the theater. None the less they were not helpful, I’ve been a customer for over 25 years and have never had a problem . This was my fault trying to get everyone’s schedules and not paying complete attention to the date. But shame on them for. Or even offering to at the very least offer a free movie ticket or something. Very few people go to the movie theater anymore and they should be upping their customer service . This is what happens when everything is outsourced to Bangladesh. So buy local, shop local and buy your movie ticket from your local theater.
