I thought this app was going to flop and I was going to delete it as soon as I got it. However, I have no idea I could get my favorite fanfic on an app. The only thing I wish it had was a library where I can look at the fics I am reading right now, and what I have already read. Recommended! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — I wanna give you a zero… but I can’t, so I give you a ONE! *2026-05-18* First off, the app is not functioning with Ao3, and is instead just using the site as a cash grab for a frankly terrible app. There is redundant use of AI, and the search system is TERRIBLE compared to literally every fanfic site out there. It’s worse than Wattpads search engine. The Ao3 site is much, MUCH better. There is absolutely no need to use this app. This is also just plain offensive to fic authors everywhere. And may I also add that they’ve uploaded the ORIGINAL works that get posted to the site? There’s someone out there who doesn’t know that their original work with original characters and world building is being used to profit. Also the app itself is just TERRIBLE. Again, redundant use of AI. Terrible search engine. If I tried looking for a new category or anything it just says “network failed request” “please try again later” with the little refresh icon to refresh it. Went on different WiFi’s and data. Deleted the app and redownloaded. Cleared cache, deleted stories. Nothing shows up or loads. **Developer response:** AO3 was performing a maintenance, please try again. However, every time I tap on “uncategorized fanfictions”, the game doesn’t let me tap anything else and never reveals the stories. This is why I deleted it. ### 1/5 — Profiting Stolen Content From AO3 *2026-01-21, version 1.3* This app is not run by the OTW, who hosts and manages AO3. All of the content from AO3 was scraped off the website and uploaded onto this app without the permission of any of the authors, including several of my own. This app offers subscriptions, which is profiting off the content of other people. This app will be reported to the OTW and their lawyers. EDIT, in regards to their response: AGAIN! These fics were all taken without any permission from the authors, myself included included - which are available to registered users only. And they are charging a subscription fee. These are sleazy people. This is such a basic feature in other reading apps it honestly should be a requirement for these. ### 1/5 — Searching is horrible on here! *2025-12-06* First all of my complaints would go away if the app were compatible to iCloud but as it’s not here it goes. Searching for anything on here is a pain. The search needs to be able to be more specific . Like we need to be able to say we are searching for an author or a title. Also It is almost impossible to find a story or an author if the name has punctuation marks like commas, apostrophes, @, or underscores in it. I have this app on three devices and I promise you no two devices have all of my stories on them. Also I wen t looking for specific authors stories tonight and I couldn’t them by title or author. I went to website and found this author instantly why is that?
