When I’m watching long videos or podcast it’ll be nice to have a picture in picture window so I can use my phone while that video is in the background & can be watched. ### 3/5 — Subscription Issue’s *2022-11-22, version 1.6.1* I tried resubscribing to a person and for some odd reason on my feed, it thought I was still subscribed. When I went to resub, it told me I couldn’t resub bc I wasn’t subscribed. I paid coins to subscribe to this user and it took my money and my subscription isn’t active. ### 2/5 — Used to Love It *2022-11-17, version 1.6.1* Since Apple forced the in-app coin-gouge, a ton of patrons fell off and creators lost a lot of subs/support. App feels pretty dead, sadly. Ya, you can buy them in web app but clearly people aren’t doing that w the same success. Have to use the larger apps instead. ### 2/5 — Not everybody has a phone number *2022-09-28, version 1.4.2* This app is poorly made and requires you to have a working phone number to watch and subscribe to any of your favorite creators. Not only that but once you enter a number onto the text field you can’t delete it. Do not get this app ### 4/5 — Love the platform for the most part. *2022-08-05, version 1.2.1* My main complaint is that it tells fans that a creator is “not popular enough” to leave a tip. If you are going to restrict features please just hide them from fans instead of producing a pop up that highlights how unsuccessful the creator is! I am using this platform as a way to keep VIP clients closer, so it’s a small group and limited access on purpose. I know the threshold is low, but it doesn’t feel good to know that idea is being planted in their heads. I would also love more detailed guidelines for content in the terms of service to make sure I don’t accidentally misinterpret something and post something that would be a violation. I haven’t posted any explicit nudity but I have a number of images that fail to load on my private fanwall. Images that have implied nudity (everything covered up) or that are completely blurred (double blur filters) as a teaser for content available elsewhere are unavailable. I would also like to be able to follow some creators to view their public stuff, but still keep the subscriptions only for their private feed. reason being is because i WANT to follow people but if i have to pay for all of them, im not going to want to pay for all of them, maybe two accounts.. and at that point the apps not worth it anymore. i also think you should work on marketing the app more to influencers to bring them over to this app. also have a button on peoples pages to report them when they post nudity since it’s not allowed. just small thoughts that i think could bring a big change. ### 3/5 — Buggy on iOS *2022-06-14, version 1.1.0* App tends to go to black screens when going back after sending a message, viewing a notification, etc ### 2/5 — It’s ok *2022-05-19, version 0.9.14* Features are limited. Some of my content requires me to speak and I can’t have hour long videos ### 3/5 — Buggy *2022-04-14, version 0.9.2* I can barely even open the app. It takes about 5 tries to open the app before anything actually starts to load. If this can be fixed, this app would be almost perfect! I have an iPhone 12 Pro so I know my phone should be able to handle this app no problem. ### 3/5 — Watermarks ??? *2021-10-15, version 0.7.4* Everything about the app is great and they keep improving it, but the watermarks makes it difficult for us to support the creators we like when the quality of the posts are ruined by the BIG ugly marks, you can find other ways to protect the leaks without making their hard works goes to waste if people decide not to spend a dime for low quality! ### 2/5 — Unusable half the time *2021-09-22, version 0.7.2* I like the app and all but half the time it crashes over and over again for no reason. This needs to be addressed soon ### 3/5 — Good but some frustrations *2021-09-14, version 0.7.1* From a supporter only/not a creator perspective, the app is good and I appreciate it as a way to support creators, but 1) it needs a way to not show fanwall posts by people other than the creator themself, and especially not push those fans' posts as notifications, and 2) it needs to not insist on updating seemingly every other day and *preventing* use of the app until that update happens, even when I'm not home/using data and thus don't want to update until I have wifi access. An occassional major update that requires updating first would be understandable, but every single update, and so frequently? Is highly frustrating. ### 2/5 — Buggy *2021-07-24, version 0.5.9* downloaded this app to keep up with a youtuber but the app won’t let me do anything without glitching me back to the feed. i’m not even following anybody yet and it won’t let me. i can’t press anything without it glitching either. i’m hoping this is temporary because i’d like to actually see the app in use and form a better opinion there ### 2/5 — Disappointing *2021-07-02, version 0.5.5* I thought this sounded like an easier platform to use to try to generate a bit of income from creative work but it’s a ghost town. There’s no way to explore or discover what/who is on this app. I tried searching random names and found that about 90% of the users have zero posts and zero followers. It seems hard to get people to new social media platforms and while it claims to be for all kinds of creators, I think it’s probably a huge turn off for many that it’s primarily marketed as ‘pg adult’. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Poor quality *2023-02-11, version 1.7.3* The photos uploaded by content creators have watermarks all across each photo making them annoying to look at. The photos are also of lesser quality. ### 1/5 — User experience unimportant to devs *2022-11-29, version 1.6.1* This was nice at first, but it’s just going downhill. I’m all for supporting the creators, but their restrictiveness seems to make user experience worse. On app and on web, it takes forever for content to load in the DMs. And they have no issue with taking your cash, but somehow access to new people you join are unable to be viewed. ### 1/5 — Wouldn’t work when I updated my payment method *2022-11-04, version 1.5.1* I tried to update my payment method but I would run into an error when I tried to resubscribe to the person I was following. I wouldn’t recommend this app. ### 1/5 — Poor experience as a creator *2022-08-30, version 1.3.2* The app is very confusing to use and navigate and customer support is some of the worst I’ve experienced in the tech business. After creating my creator account, I attempted to test out the user experience before directing my fans to sign up. First red flag was them prompting users to pay money outside the App Store (that should be more red flags than a golf course for y’all right there ⛳️ - then Apple support cannon intervene in purchasing disputed.) Then when the other content creator did not follow through with the deliverables, customer support all but told me to pound rocks. So basically I have been defrauded, and thereby warn all of you to stay far, far away. Patreon here we come! ### 1/5 — Scam *2022-03-31, version 0.9.1* Purchased a 3 month sub to a creator. at time of purchase she had last posted a week prior. But then she stopped posting all together. I paid to receive NO NEW CONTENT. I contacted the company and asked for a refund and was told no. I tried to issue a chargeback but my bank sided with them, and their policy is that if you try to issue a charge back that they will ban you. So now I’m have paid for NOTHING AT ALL! ### 1/5 — How is this allowed on Apple😐 *2021-09-07, version 0.6.8* I saw other creators trying it so I gave it a shot but on top of being laggy (maybe they’ll fix that, idk) there’s no way to discover anyone lol Unless you have another social media where you promote your Fanhouse on, people won’t find you on here and it will be nearly impossible to grow. I like the idea of users subscribing to their faves content but also idk how this is allowed on Apple because it’s basically an Onlyf*ns disguising itself as supporting small businesses. When creating an account and trying to come up with an account name, if it already exists, pressing next does nothing. It doesn’t put some verbage up saying the name already exists. I figured it was a dup name and tried again with a couple of other names before next button worked. 2. The search window is confusing. I expected to be shown a search field with the keyboard up. Instead I saw “Your Houses” and was confused. Why not have a separate place for Your Houses and not convolute the search window? I finally saw another search icon that needs to be pressed before getting the keyboard and search field.
