Idk why that worked? 2: you need to turn off the light switch and immediately HOLD DOWN the parring button!! 3: you may need to do this over and over?? I recommend trying different things if it didn’t work. Like changing the room or the name maybe. This can be you unplugging the device, or turning off the fan at the light switch. Once the power source has been disconnected I waited 60 seconds. During the wait, make sure you’re ready in the app to press the blue tooth button to pair when ready. 2. Replug in or turn the switch back on after waiting from step one. Immediately, the fan or light will turn on. It is at this time you have less than 5 seconds to press the pairing button in the app. Just hit the button once. 3 the light will blink, and this indicates that you have a successful pairing. :) Boom. Done. Otherwise, the instructions are correct however they do not mention that you need to disconnect the device from power before the pairing process. I was keeping the switch on and turning the lights off and on from the remote… and it did not work. Everything works flawless. Note: Setup and name the room you are working with first.
