## What is Fantom Set List Buddy?

Fantom Set List Buddy is a tool for a gigging musician that uses a Roland® Fantom® 6, 7 or 8 (incl. EX), 06, 07 or 08. It allows offline editing of set lists (Roland calls them scene chains) with multiple features that go far beyond what the Fantom hardware offers:

- Transfer backups between Fantom Set List Buddy and your Fantom® via USB Stick
- Use your iPhone, iPad or Mac or Macbook (M1 or newer) to re-order songs, markers, swap sets or create songs with multiple scenes
- Automated matching of set lists that you receive from your band mates saves you significant amounts of time and effort
- Share set lists with your band members
- Integrate Fantom Set List Buddy into your Apple Shortcuts automations

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### V1.01 — 2026-09-03

This version has stabilized import and export functions. The demo included in the prior version was removed, as there is now a Youtube playlist available showing the functionality: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3t4-ev5ZNE&list=PLfn3J06zmCdo and https://youtu.be/b3t4-ev5ZNE?si=VWDJA4aNV3pbzjD4 . The user manual is now distributed with the app and is now context sensitive for each of the app's screens. The app can now integrate into Apple Shortcuts. The look and feel has been improved and the context menus have been significantly expanded. Songs, scenes, set lists and bands screens have been provided with extensive sorting and filtering. The prior "Menu" has now been renamed to "USB Stick", as this is the main way the app will be integrated with the users' Fantom hardware.

### 1.0 — 2026-09-02
