It should be a simple thing to navigate and filter the schedule but every year things get worse and worse. For 2023 I don’t even see a filter option under the schedule. ### 3/5 — App hasn't been updated to the 2023 *2023-02-25, version 7.0.1* FanX is an amazing place to check out a lot of fun things , I went to fan x last year and I enjoyed it the app needs to be updated to the 2023 version soon before Sept 2023 hits ! ### 2/5 — Needs a panel schedule *2019-09-03, version 3.1* Please, just give us a way to see all the panels and when they are. Not PANELISTS, not ACTIVITIES & FEATURES, but PANELS. Other than that it’s a decent app, but a panel list is the only thing that I want it for. ### 2/5 — Update please *2019-06-29, version 2.3* I’ve tried updating and reinstalling the app and it still shows the April stuff, update your app pls ### 1/5 — Need Magnification To Read!! *2018-09-09, version 2.0* Most on the text in this app is WAY too tiny to be read with my old eyes and there is no pinch-zoom support for making things larger. It also doesn't rotate the view when turning your phone (again attempting to make text larger). It's the first day of the convention and floor maps are "not available" yet! Seriously?!? The FanX server is frequently unresponsive so you're lucky if you get to see schedules, and you cannot filter schedules for specific guests or events. About the only value I got from this lame app is adding events to your personal schedule (after you can figure out a way to read them) and setting up reminders (which also are worthless because they get lost within all the other non-requested notifications the app sends out). Good thing this is free because I would be annoyed by having paid money for such a poorly designed app. It's aweful. ### 1/5 — Repeat Attendee *2018-09-08, version 2.0* This app is painfully difficult to use...... I have been attending the SLC fanx/comic con every year. Every year I download the app hoping it will be useful. Some years are better than others. By now it seems like someone would have figured out that we need a panel schedule that is separate from anything else (autographs, etc.). I shouldn’t have to scroll through pages and pages to try and figure out what panels are available. Not recommend. ### 1/5 — Problematic and incomplete *2018-09-08, version 2.0* The app has the schedule, but the map section doesn't load. The printed flyer has the map, but no schedule. Very hard to navigate the schedule. Signings and photo ops take up majority of the space and you can't filter by more than one topic. Adding a panel to your schedule puts it on their twice. Crashes occasionally. My sister lost all the panels she saved to her schedule. Just really disappointed by the poor quality and lack of well thought out UX. ### 1/5 — Crap app *2018-09-06, version 2.0* This app is worthless! It's got several panels on there twice. The autographs dominate the schedule, which is fine but I want to filter those OUT. The booths still aren't labeled, and some are on here multiple times. Every other year this app is superb this time it feels like an afterthought of a shadow. ### 3/5 — Update Vendor List *2017-09-19, version 1.0* There is two days till comic con and there are no booth numbers and the vendor list isn't up to date. A friend of mine did FanX then adjusted her booth name for Comic Con and it is still the old name. Dan cannot keep having this app say the year from the previous year. It needs to be updated every year. ### 1/5 — Apps Not Even Accurate *2025-09-22, version 9.0.1* I downloaded this app because they said the app was most up to date. I reached out to support for clarification on one specific celebrities times and they didn’t answer my questions, but sent some useless template. Frustrating trying to figure out a time to get there being out of town. Really bad app and support needs to be talked to, to not just send templates that don’t even address your asked question ### 1/5 — Useless *2019-09-07, version 3.1* Trying to figure out the schedule and who’s on where? Unless you just want a stream of paid events, don’t bother. Use the printed out schedules placed at the venue. Totally useless app. ### 1/5 — Not a fan of obnoxious upselling *2019-09-05, version 3.1* I ended up turning off notifications entirely. The app didn’t alert me to my favorited events, but it made sure to bug me about autograph and photo ops. Very disappointing. We should be able to opt into which notifications we wish to receive. The app as it stands (including color UI atrocities), isn’t useful the way I need it to be, and as it used to be. ### 1/5 — Useless app *2019-04-21, version 2.3* This app needs serious attention. I’d recommend having your developers use this during the conference. If you eat your own dog food, you make better dog food. Forget about making it look pretty, make it functional first. Most of the sections replace the status bar at the top and everything is cut off ### 1/5 — Rips You Off *2019-04-09, version 2.2* When I went to celebrities, I went to two of them and it said their individual photo op was $20. Okay cool. Then, I went to individual photo ops, and they weren’t there. So then I check group photos, and both of them are there in a group photo together for $70. So they lied saying you can get an INDIVIDUAL photo op for $20 each, yet they didn’t give us the option to pay for the individual photo ops. Last year I don’t think this app was out and if it was then I didn’t see it but now that I know that it exists it is so easy to set up what I want to do. But I'd like a blurb about the vendors. Like some of the names make sense. But not all of them. ### 3/5 — Not great *2024-09-27, version 8.0.1* 4:00 AM alerts about an event that happened *yesterday* telling me to “go there NOW” is really unprofessional. This ap feels like someone just took the website and threw it onto mobile without considering the differences. It’s hard to find what I need on a small screen. I wish I could “zoom out” because I want to see the bigger picture. When one celebrity takes up the whole screen it’s a pain to scroll through them all and when the schedule has large blanks of time or cuts off text unless you scroll, it can be real tedious to see when things are happening and where. There’s no easy way to browse! It seems you have to know specifically what to look for. But even when I search “Harry Potter” it will up the panel, but it does *not* bring up the related celebrities there, the photo ops available, or autographs opportunities. Also, some of it is a little counterintuitive.
