### 4/5 — Good, but room to improve

*2025-12-24, version 1.26.0*

I like the sync between devices. I don’t like the layout of the FARs though. It’s too divided up. It takes too many clicks to get from one area to another. For example I would like all the sections of part 91 to be in one tab, not broken up into multiple sections that you have to click on. Sections is good, but they should all be in one scroll. The Sporty’s app was a better layout. It’s obsolete now. It also didn’t sync. Just a suggestion for the developers.

### 3/5 — Almost great

*2023-08-05, version 1.15.0*

Good UI, but app is a little slow and unresponsive at times. Also new update makes the app crash when I click on annotations.

### 3/5 — Like it, but….needs offline se

*2023-02-25, version 1.7.4*

Great app, but it does not function in offline mode. One of our planes doesn’t have WI-FI active and it would be nice to look something up on the boring no internet legs.

Any chance you can make it available for offline mode? Seems like most others have it.

### 3/5 — Unable to link between iPhone and iPad

*2021-05-19, version 1.1.0*

Can anyone help me? I am unable to see the highlighted notes on iPad on my iPhone. Besides that the app is very good. All the important documents are in your fingertips.

### 3/5 — Flight ready review

*2021-04-29, version 1.0.5*

I like these apps but seems like everyone of them you download is 1 month free and then annual payment subscriptions. I wish I could have known that earlier and I wouldn’t even have downloaded it.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — AIM Diagrams

*2026-07-16, version 1.32.0*

Most of your AIM diagrams are black and white.

### 1/5 — Don’t buy the lifetime option

*2025-08-04, version 1.26.0*

I was using this app consistently for the last couple of years and it was great! So I decided to upgrade to the lifetime version, boy howdy was that a mistake. Since doing so, I can no longer use the app, every time I open the app it says “updating content” and never loads, even if I delete the app and redownload, it no longer works. Absolute waste of $60.

### 1/5 — For student pilots

*2025-05-11, version 1.25.0*

Do not wast your money on these apps, I have purchased 3 and all their search functions are useless, the rudimentary search features will only provide exact matches at best and 9/10 times will not give you a revenant result. I have found it cheaper and better to download the AIM in PDF form from faa.gov and download the FAR in PDF form from govinfo.gov (you have to download all 5 volumes of Title 14 separately). Then upload them to a PDF viewer app such as goodnotes or Adobe (I like gooodnotes). The PDF viewer provides a much better search function and even ai assisted searches. I also keep my checklists and POH in goodnotes, you can use the apple pencil to check off items as you go. Hope this helps others pass their check rides.

### 1/5 — Not Maintained

*2024-12-05, version 1.25.0*

The format is good. The annotations capability is good. But none of that matters if the content is not up-to-date. For example, changes were made to instructor certificate expirations and recency of experience requirements that took effect October 1st and only a link to the updates is shown in the app. It’s now December. The regs should be updated.

### 1/5 — Search not good

*2023-10-18, version 1.16.0*

Five minutes in and can’t find anything searching.

### 1/5 — Missing entire sub chapter G from Title 14

*2022-11-29, version 1.7.4*

There is no sub chapter G or any of the parts in it from Title 14 in this app.

### 1/5 — Difficult to read with no indents

*2022-10-22, version 1.7.2*

The app doesn’t indent any of the subsections in the regulations, making them very difficult to read. Not recommended.

### 2/5 — No part 135

*2025-09-15, version 1.26.0*

It's an electronic book, there's no reason not to include every part of the FAR. It's not like you're gonna make the app thicker.

### 2/5 — Unknown if current info

*2024-04-18, version 1.17.1*

Would be five stars, but it is receiving two because of one feature that makes it completely unreliable. The application does not tell you when the last update was so you know that the publication is current. They should be said right in the front, so you know. The ASA FAR/AIM does this. if this app decides to include that then I will make the switch and pay. Until then, two stars.

### 2/5 — Has promise but a couple big problems

*2024-02-29, version 1.17.1*

I chose this app because of the note feature. I reported a discrepancy between the app and the published FAA information (it was not a new update). The app was updated upon verification. That revealed my second big issue, other than not being able to trust the app. Upon updating all my highlights disappeared. It also does not tell you what has been updated so you can add your highlights back or review the changes.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great App but could be better

*2026-02-27, version 1.29.0*

I love everything about this app. It’s so easy to navigate and find specific regulations. However it’s missing 119, which is important for commercial pilots.

### 5/5 — Perfect!

*2026-01-02, version 1.26.0*

This is by far the best FAR/AIM I have used!

### 5/5 — Easy to keep up to date

*2025-08-17, version 1.26.0*

This is a great tool to have in your EFB. Easy to update since it tells you to update and provides a button to do so! The bookmarks are great, kinda standard for any iPad app, I suppose. Also, search functionality! Try doing this with a physical book.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2024-09-11, version 1.20.0*

App is awesome for using with the Far/Aim. It is very nicely organized to allow for easily finding. What you need. Keeps up to date, and my spot is saved between devices so I could pick up where I left off. Search works well too. Would be awesome if they could add like the PHAK, AFH, and various other FAA publications to it also. But totally worth it just for the FAR/AIM

### 5/5 — Outstanding!

*2024-08-11, version 1.18.0*

Everything about this FAR/AIM is outstanding. So much better than books, with the ability to highlight, annotate and make notes it checks all the boxes. As for updates, it automatically updates when changes are made to the documents. No more waiting for months for the newest written versions.

### 5/5 — Best FAR/AIM By Far!!!

*2024-03-25*

The best present far/aim on the app store by far!! Please never stop doing what your doing developers!

**Developer response:** Thank you!

### 5/5 — Better than the book!

*2023-11-16, version 1.17.1*

I highly recommend this if you’re considering buying a new Far/AIM. You’re able to tab, highlight, add notes, search and quickly reference anything.

In addition to that, I had wrongly selected GA (general aviation) and was missing certain parts of the FAR/AIM….I contacted customer service why I wasn’t seeing everything and literally had a response on how to fix it within 5 minutes!

Stellar product

### 5/5 — Excellent product with quick support

*2023-08-04, version 1.15.0*

It’s a great project that has all of the aviation regulations that you’ll ever need and this app makes it so simple to look up. With the last 2 updates the app has gotten better by leaps and bounds. Do yourself a favor and get this app especially if you are in flight school. If you have any ideas, send it over to the team, I sent a couple over and both ideas were approved and made it into production fairly quickly.

### 5/5 — Excellent Product

*2022-11-16, version 1.7.4*

The FlightReady FAR/AIM is an excellent digital resource that allows you to sync your phone and tablet for study, review, quick reference and look up by word search. I appreciate the app allows me to have all the Federal Aviation Regulations, Aeronautical Information Manual along with Pilot Controller Glossary, NTSB, HazMat and TSA Regulations at my finger tips.

The ability to highlight and annotate important information for quick recall has been extremely helpful with study and reviews. Great product and customer support!!

### 5/5 — Student Pilot - Go to Resource

*2021-07-30, version 1.3.0*

I love that this application provides the digital version of the FAR/AIM in a very easy to read and manageable format. I have both a paper version and this app for my FAR/AIM. I know, a little redundant but, as a student pilot, these two resources together make for easy study and FAR/AIM lookup. The application allows you to bookmark, make notes, and annotations. I’ve gone through the paper version and have highlighted every section and tabbed sections for the Private Pilot areas like some of those “tabbed” versions you can purchase, then I did the same thing in the application. I essentially have a “tabbed” digital version using this application. Easy searching straight from my phone or iPad. It’s a great application, highly recommended for anyone but especially student pilots like me. Also, the developers have great customer service! I wrote them about a sync issue I was having and after a couple of emails, my problem was solved. I mentioned to them to include support documentation on their website dealing with sync issues so others would not have to contact them and they created and added it support documentation. Good team!
