## What is Far from Noise?

You are balanced on the edge of a cliff in an old rusting car.

The sun is setting behind the horizon and night will soon fall. With no immediate means of escape, perhaps all that's left is to attempt to feel some connection with the world at the end of it all.

Far from Noise is a story told through dialogue choices. As day fades to night, experience quiet moments of interaction with a variety of creatures and witness the transformative forces of nature as they happen around you. Through conversation with a welcome companion, begin to discover your reasons for being out there, your relationship with the world, life and death, and if you'll see tomorrow.

### 5/5 — always worth a replay

*2026-01-27, version 1.1*

i play this game once a year minimum. it’s one of my touchstones in this life, along with bird alone. i wish the creator would make more games. thank you for these ones.

### 5/5 — Special

*2024-05-03*

A beautiful, empathetic, meditative game. If you struggle with depression be warned there are different endings depending on your actions, some of which will really help your depression and others which may trigger it to feel worse. It’s a sensitive, philosophical and emotional experience, so if you feel there’s any chance it could trigger you I recommend playing it with a friend or watching a playthrough and reading about it before going ahead.

### 4/5 — Gorgeous

*2023-11-05*

What a beautiful story. I very much loved this game, very relaxing and calming. The one thing I wish it had was opposing dialogues though, a lot of what the character dialogue choices meant the same thing. Which is probably staying true to the character but doesn’t give much creative liberty to the person putting themselves in the characters shoes. For instance I would have continued to stargazing scene for longer. Or with the badger, it was a good lesson, I just wish the character would have fully been able to change her mind about the badger. Great game though, beautiful art and a nice pace. It was nice how we could pause the game.

### 5/5 — Underrated

*2023-10-28*

I’ve had this game installed on my phone for many years. It’s an old comfort of mine to play through the story every now and again. The art style is beautiful, and the game truly stands out from what you’d usually find on the App Store. It deserves more attention than what it got and I hope the developers have gone in to make more lovely games

### 5/5 — Beutiful

*2023-07-03*

It was very sad

### 5/5 — Beautiful and Healing

*2023-05-30, version 1.1*

Enjoyed the story line and lessons within.

### 2/5 — Not sure

*2023-01-22*

Neat concept but the story drags way too long, the dialog is poorly written and philosophical concepts are underwhelming.

Not bad if the app was free, but not worth paying for.

### 5/5 — Quite a lovely game

*2023-01-14*

You can tell alot of love and hardwork went into this game and the message feels so genuine and freeing ~

### 3/5 — Not bad.

*2021-10-10*

It’s poetic and lovely, but I couldn’t help thinking there should be a bit more to it.

### 5/5 — Thought provoking and peaceful

*2021-03-14*

I enjoyed this and felt completely immersed whilst playing. I say ‘playing’ for want of another word, as this is not so much a game but an experience. It’s a beautifully made, gentle and thoughtful story that is cleverly affected by the choices made throughout. I loved the style of graphics which I thought were perfect; not too much going on to detract from the experience, and beautifully artistic and dreamy. If you’re looking for something different to help unwind, shut out the noise of life and lose yourself for a short time then give it a try.
