I can’t hit the pick up button or tell them I’m on my way. Defeats the purpose of my husband and I both have accounts and sharing it. ### 4/5 — Good update *2026-05-20* So far the newest update is great improvement over the previous version. 👍👍 ### 3/5 — New app is Data mining *2026-05-20* The old app and system was better in every way. It is terrible you sold out to instacart. Now i hate keeping your app on my phone because it is data mining. I get that it is easier to let someone else do the work but this shouldn’t be the way. ### 2/5 — Downhill *2025-07-22, version 3.9.2* Used to work well. No longer lets me select a time for pickup despite having removed and redownloaded app and having upgraded to a new phone. I like how the lists show where to find the items. For instance, Hershey doesn’t work. Must be “Hershey’s”. Too many issues. Will not pull up things that ARE in store. Shows thing’s available that AREN’T. Tired of getting the “Well, that’s embarrassing…” error. I open the app to do online shopping and all it does is keep telling me to enter my local store, and it still won’t even let me do that. Same thing to look at ads. It keeps taking me back to the screen to enter my local store, but it won’t let enter local store. Better off searching on Google Maps. ### 1/5 — Very poor app *2021-12-15* Stores in a major city not listed. I could not get any responses to work when trying to view weekly ad. This is concerning as Fareway has stopped making print ads available here. I want to be a customer but in the last 2-3 yrs, Fareway is driving me away. I attribute this to corporate, the employees on local level are still great. ### 1/5 — Fareway App is Stuck in Kansas City *2021-12-06, version 3.0.36* When I downloaded and opened the Fareway App today (12/06/21) I was presented with a choice of shopping On Line or In Store. I selected In Store and was taken to a screen showing a map of Kansas City. When I entered the location of our local store a message popped up saying no store existed there. No other menu choices are available and it remains in KC. As it stands now, this App is worth a Zero Star rating - but that choice isn’t available. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Unreliable *2026-06-09* I used to be able to count on the Fareway app. Ever since they updated it, I lose entire grocery lists. I shop for a business. Imagine how disheartening it is to spend two hours making a list to have it disappear before you can get to the store. ### 1/5 — No time choice for pick up *2026-03-24* I am no longer able to order for pick up when I’m available. Makes this useless. ### 1/5 — New update unusable *2026-03-12* The new update opened once and I saw that all my past purchases were gone along with all my preferences. Now it won’t open at all. I’ve tried multiple times and it does nothing. ### 1/5 — The update is trash!!! *2026-03-11* The app used to be user friendly —- after the most recent update, you cannot add items to your cart h less it’s during store hours! It takes forever to navigate and ‘save’ items for later as you remember them. Please change the app back. One of the reasons I shop at Fareway instead of other places is BECAUSE of the app. I hate it now! ### 1/5 — The worst app *2025-10-20, version 3.9.2* This is one of the worst apps i’ve used. It’s been about 15 minutes and i’ve been trying to get the app to load for the entire time to see what my grocery list is. My local store is literally 2/10ths of a mile from my home. I use Walmart, because they are blind accessible and I can order my groceries for delivery. Shame on you! So much easier to do the curbside pickup and add items to the order! ### 5/5 — Monmouth IL Fareway *2025-05-22* I rate this Fareway store in Monmouth IL to be 100% fantastic. The hours. The help both at registers and throughout the store as well as always wearing a beautiful smile and so willing to help. I refuse to go to any other grocery store in town because this one has been over the board helpful in so many, many ways. Thanks Monmouth IL Fareway. God bless you all. ❤️ ### 5/5 — Fast, Easy, No issues *2025-02-25* A lot of the other reviews are so outdated but Fareway has simplified and made their app easily the best for groceries. Loads fast. Simple and straight forward ordering system. Never gotten expired food. Always kind when picking up. The app even puts your recently ordered food at the top when searching which is extremely helpful. ### 5/5 — No Data Collected! *2023-03-02* Update: I will continue to love this app because it isn’t collecting data!
