## What is Farming Local?

There are over 2 million farms in the U.S. Most of them are small, family owned farms. Buying direct from your local farm helps to reduce the carbon footprint while creating a healthy and sustainable local economy. 

Our vision at Farming Local is to connect you, the consumer, to healthy and sustainable products from your local farmers across the country. With push notifications, we will keep you updated on what's happening with Farming Local.

Consumers -
- Create your account to search for local farms in your area.
- Find local events such as farmers markets.
- Get special offers for produce.
- Real-time chat functionality.

Growers -
- Create your listing with images, video, hours of operation etc.
- Create special events.
- Create special offers for consumers.
