They have been delivered on time and in environment friendly packaging. The app itself works well - order placement and payment. But I do wish the UI was improved in a few areas. Tribe store 1. When scrolling, if you tap on the image by mistake, it takes you to the information on the product - but when scrolling this happens quite a lot and I am having to come back to the main screen. 2. When you are on a tab - greens, vegetables, fruits and want to get back to the top of the that tab, you scroll to bring it back up, if you do it too fast it goes back to the All tab. It has been an irritant a few times. The customer service chat window also can be better so as to make enquiries about a particular order and not a general window. The order I want to ask about could be about my order on the tribe store or group buy. Over all, the experience in the app has improved over the last year - but there’s room for improvement. We learnt about so many local varieties of vegetables, fruits and greens. We receive harvest of fruits and vegetables, these are not hand picked by us, rather curated by a team who knows what is in season and is local too. This also keeps us excited thinking of the surprise harvest that we might receive each week. There are special fruits like Apples, peaches, cherries, plums from Himachal Preadesh, honey mellon from Rajasthan etc available on the platform. Using Farmizen since last 4-5 months for mostly tribe or pre-orders. Very professional service. They listen to the customer. Quality of the fruits and vegetables is generally very good. In case of bad items, a prompt refund is issued. I like that they use minimal plastic bags. Sometimes, I feel the products are too expensive, and then if you get a bad product, it disappoints. I stopped ordering some products which had issues repeatedly. (Custard apples, Sapota) The quantity of the pre-orders are most of the times very large. Being in a nuclear family setup I end up not ordering that particular product. An option to order smaller quantity via tribe order would be appreciated. They are improving their app as well. For tribe orders, Cart content persists for longer period now, earlier the cart was cleared after some time. ### 5/5 — The best thing that happened to me during covid lockdown *2020-10-02, version 6.0.33* I’ve been buying veggies from Farmizen from 6 months now. Not once had I got disappointed with their service. The veggies are of good quality, variety, quantity, fresh, tasty and organic. The price is quite reasonable unlike other vendors that charge an exorbitant price with an organic tag. Every week they keep changing the veggies they deliver and it’s exciting to “unbag” the order, as they always surprise me with the veggie varieties. The customer support executive - Shrinidhi is prompt in responding to all my queries/concerns. The delivery executives are very professional. Today I wasn’t at home and my phone wasn’t reachable. They had correctly taken their old bag and safely placed my order of veggies at my doorstep. Very impressed. So don’t think too much. Start ordering. We need more people for CSA. It’s good for the farmers, economy and environment. ### 5/5 — Quality is Farmizen *2020-08-10, version 6.0.19* I have been buying the veggies bundle for about 4 months now and it’s a great experience with quality and quantity service that is provided by Farmizen. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Used to be good but not anymore *2024-06-07, version 6.0.59* I used to love ordering my fruits from Farmizen because of the quality of products. The quality has dropped drastically. I received rotten mangoes, jackfruit, pomegranate from my order. When I reached out to the support team - Prajval asked me to cut the fruits and check even after sending him photos of the condition of the products. I was not ok paying Rs. 1200 for rotten fruits and they said someone will come to collect the products and post that the refund will be issued. No one came to collect the order even after multiple follow ups. I had to keep reaching out to let them know that they need to collect the order. And no one came to collect and struggled to even get a reasonable response from the support team. This is the worst experience and you’ve lost a customer. ### 1/5 — Going bad now *2023-04-09, version 6.0.59* My early day experience was good but in the last 2 months, their quality has been really bad. And I received poor response after raising complaint. They try to blame customer for rotten veggies. No refunds and your money is gone for bad products. However they ensure to send me a message every day night after 10:00pm. Be careful with your personal data before you down load the app. ### 1/5 — Too much expensive for normally grown fruits and Vegetables *2020-06-21, version 5.0.47* This is highly overrated app. Firstly, note that my dad is a farmer. Fruits and vegetables I ordered were nothing special and they are just like what is sold in local shops. They directly get from farmers and guess what? Prices are double compared to market price. How can the prices be double when there are no middle men? My dad grows chilli’s and tomato’s, suppose if he sells tomatoes at Rs 3 per kilo to middlemen then by the time it reaches consumer the rate would be Rs 25 per kilo. Here on the app, same tomatoes are sold at Rs 50 per kill. Who is eating extra money? Owner of the app? Ideally prices over this app should be 30% less compared to market price. This is insane business. ### 1/5 — Bad experience *2018-12-25, version 3.0.135* Location: Hyderabad Inexperienced farmer and haphazard planning. Out of 5-6 months of subscription - deliveries went missing, farmland was infested badly, very substandard and disbalanced delivery. The expensive items (such as Kale) were flicked and were never delivered in spite of repeated reminders. This will take a while to mature overall, the experience was no where close to that advertised on Instagram / Facebook. ### 3/5 — Please Fix the Touch Sensitivity *2021-06-21, version 6.0.47* While your sellers, their products and its delivery is great and high quality, the app itself is very rudimentary and lacking in many aspects. The touch sensitivity is so unbearable, that even while scrolling down the products list, random tabs keep opening with just the slightest brush. This makes it difficult to scroll comfortably without a window opening up to unwanted products every few seconds. Also there should be a basic search feature introduced, to look for the products we want. It would also be good if we could click on the seller, and see all products by that particular seller, in one place. Also the tab to see active and past orders is a button with random dots on it, that doesn’t alert you of its function. It would be better if it was more straightforward. This app has fantastic potential and is truly a noble venture, but the designing flaws are making it difficult to use. ### 3/5 — Service needs to improve *2020-09-21, version 6.0.33* Quality of most of the pre orders are good . However since this fruits are perishable in nature , the balancing act of providing the right age of fruits( that on delivery it should risen within 2-3 days ) is the key which Farmizen seems to be missing . Also on delivery timelines of pre-orders a lot of gap needs to be filled in . With regards to fruit basket , need to provide list of fruits being sent ! ### 3/5 — Great taste, high prices, pathetic delivery timelines *2020-07-02, version 6.0.7* First of all the fruits are absolutely delicious most of the times. But they are at least twice as priced as available on other organic produce websites. Worst is that their orders are always delayed by 1-3 weeks. Yay! *2024-05-27, version 6.0.59* I have been using Farmizen for the past 5 years now and I must say it’s been a blessing to find them. Their products range is amazing, quality is great and to top it all they offer a huge range of organic and naturally produced fruits, vegetables, cereals etc. I have also visited couple of events hosted by them to meet the farmer and that’s when I was assured of their quality. Their customer care is also quite responsive and efficient and have ensured resolution of problems (if any) as quickly as possible. So Yay Farmizen! Prices are reasonable compared to other organic stores and quality is much better. I love getting surprised by vegetables that I didn't know of or usually won’t buy on my own. It’s good to challenge our palates and minds. And the taste is really superior to the usual market produce. The potatoes and brinjal and greens shine on the simplest of dishes. Don’t hesitate! One suggestion to the Farmizen team would be including approx weight when quantifying some greens in ‘bunches’ so it’s easier to decide how much you need. Aside from this, I’ve become very appreciative of their responsive and empathetic customer care over the last few interactions. Very happy with the quality of organic produce in the bundles. Occasionally we get some of the rarer varieties of greens and fruits that are unfamiliar to me. I do wish these were identified by Farmizen for me. Google isn’t very helpful with identifying local produce.
