## What is FarmRanger?

The FarmRanger app is specifically designed to work with our livestock security collars (GSM or satellite connectivity). It informs you when your animals are exhibiting abnormal behaviour, typically during a predator attack or theft attempt, and enables you to then track the affected herd with live GPS tracking on a map in the app.
 
Receive instant alarm notifications when your animals are disturbed, draw virtual borders with our Geofences for added security or general management, and customise the app to your needs.
 
This proactive system enables you to be one step ahead – to act early before losses occur, and to protect what matters most.

### 2.2.0 — 2026-09-17

This update adds a new alarm classification system so you can categorize and track alarm history at a glance. The map experience is improved with adjustable geofence opacity, clearer region borders, and a choice of map provider in settings. We've also expanded language support, with improved translations across English, Afrikaans, and Spanish.

Your OTP sign-in code can now be delivered via SMS or phone call. A small circle indicator is added next to your unit: red means an alarm has occurred since you last opened your app, and green is for any other updates

You can now choose the alarm sound and set a Snooze duration on your mobile device. The login process is also easier, requiring only a one-time password (OTP).
