## What is Fastest Train?

Real-time UK train departures powered by the National Rail

LIVE ACTIVITIES & DYNAMIC ISLAND
Long-press any departure to pin it. A Live Activity appears on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, showing your train's platform, departure time, live position, and arrival — updating in the background.

DEPARTURE BOARDS
Real-time departures for 2,500+ stations across the UK. Set a destination filter to see only the trains you care about. Full calling point lists with live timing and coach formation data.

PLATFORM NUMBERS
Platform numbers appear as soon as they're announced — often before they show on the station's big screens.

DISRUPTION ALERTS
A live banner shows delays with plain-English reasons: signal failures, staff issues, knock-on delays. No vague "delayed" messages.

TRAIN TRACKING
Long-press any departure to track it. See real-time position, live platform, stops ahead, and a countdown to departure. Tracks in the background via Live Activities.

FULL SCREEN MODE
Put the departures board on a screen at home or in your office. Tap once to go full-screen; the board refreshes automatically.

iPad SUPPORT
Split-screen layout shows a station board on the left and full journey details on the right, side by side.

DATA & PRIVACY
No accounts. No sign-in. No location tracking. Data comes directly from the National Rail Darwin feed.

Live Activities — track your train from the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island.

Long-press any departure to start tracking. A Live Activity appears instantly showing your departure time, platform, train position, and estimated arrival — updating in the background even after you leave the app.

On iPhone 14 Pro and later, the Dynamic Island shows a rotating summary: departure and arrival times with delay indicators, platform number, next calling point, and a countdown timer before departure.

• Share any departure with a single tap, including a link to download Fastest Train
• Tracked train view now shows your departure station, not the train's origin
• Fixed platforms not appearing in the tracked train view
• Bug fixes and stability improvements

Thanks for your feedback Phil - we've now added a "Departs in X mins" feature to allow you to more easily see when the next train departs. Toggle it on/off in the settings view.
