## What is FastStation?

FastStation shows the departures at the stops around you the moment you open it — no menus, no searching, no hunting for your line. Big numbers, real times, and the walk to get there.

Plan a whole trip, door to door
Type where you're going and get several ways to get there: the fastest, the one with the fewest changes, and the one with the least walking. Routes combine trains, buses and ferries, so you get the answer a rider would actually give you — not just the one mode the app happens to know about.

Your trips stay on your phone
Route planning runs entirely on your device. Where you're coming from and where you're going are never sent anywhere — not to us, not to anyone. The app downloads a compact map of the network and does the work locally, so it keeps planning even when your signal doesn't.

Built for the way you actually travel
• Nearby stops sorted by walking distance, with live countdowns
• Filter by subway, regional rail or bus
• Pin the stops you use every day
• Service alerts for the lines you care about
• Leg-by-leg directions with a live countdown to your next departure
• Maps showing the exact path of every leg

Where it works
New York, Boston, the San Francisco Bay Area and London.

Bus times are based on published schedules; train arrivals are live where the network provides them.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.6 — 2026-08-17

Dublin. The Luas Red and Green lines, live — all 67 stops, with
arrivals grouped by where the tram is actually going, so you can
tell a Parnell tram from a Broombridge one at St. Stephen's Green.

Station names are bilingual, Irish above English, set on a cream
enamel plate with the black double keyline Dublin puts on its
street signs.

Stations that serve several lines now appear as a single card.
14 St-Union Sq, Times Sq-42 St, Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr and 32
other complexes were listed once per platform set. Now they're
listed once, the way you actually walk into them.

Walking times follow the street network instead of a straight
line, so "can I still make it" accounts for the block you have
to walk around.

### 3.5 — 2026-08-14

Easier to read station arrival times

Walking times follow the street network instead of a straight
line, so "can I still make it" accounts for the block you have
to walk around.

More direction headings are translated.

### 3.4 — 2026-08-12

Sydney Trains. Live arrivals across the network, with cards set in the City Circle's porcelain-enamel signage and directions named by where the train is actually going.

Chicago 'L'. Live arrivals for all eight lines.

Saved trips. Save Home → Work as a pair and fill both ends of a journey in one tap.

Know when you're offline. The app now tells you the moment the network drops, instead of leaving you to work it out from a screen that already failed.

A much faster map. Route geometry now draws in a fraction of the time it used to.

See the search working. Trip planning shows its progress as it explores the network, rather than a spinner.

Fully translated. Every screen is now complete in all 15 languages.

Plus more accurate Sydney arrival times and a long list of smaller fixes.

### 3.3 — 2026-08-09

route maps
saved locations for routing.

### 3.2 — 2026-07-31

Now support for U-Bahn, added additional translations, fixed visual with Bus Labels for NYC
