## What is Fathom AASA?

Fathom takes its name from the old nautical practice of dropping a chain to fathom the depth—an apt metaphor for tracing the often-hidden paths of “deep” links (iOS Universal Links). Just as that chain helps sailors understand what lies beneath the surface, Fathom helps you dive into Apple App Site Association files and uncover exactly how your links resolve, fail, or redirect.
