## What is Fathom?

You start with one rusted barge in shallow water and a very long way down.

Tap a rig to run a production cycle. Buy levels to make each cycle pay more. Hire crew and the rig runs itself — forever. That is the whole first hour, and it goes quickly.

Then the water gets darker.

THE DESCENT Hand-authored depth bands, from the Sunlight Shallows down through the Twilight Verge, the Midnight Expanse, the Abyssal Plain, the Hadal Trench and the Ember Vents. Each has its own water, its own pressure, its own machines. Past the authored zones the trench keeps going — generated, but never random. Zone forty is as well-formed as zone one.

SALVAGE RUNS Send submersibles down and leave them. A twenty-second run pays once; a six-hour run pays three times as much. Longer runs bring back more alloy, more artifacts, and better odds on something living.

THE FIELD LOG Six species in every zone, from common to epic. Every one you catalogue keeps working for you permanently — income, alloy, potency — and keeps working across every resurface. Duplicates still help, with diminishing returns.

RESEARCH THAT STICKS Artifacts buy permanent upgrades. Pearls buy deeper ones. Nothing you research is ever taken back, no matter how many times you resurface and start the climb again.

BUILT TO RESPECT YOUR TIME • No ads. • No in-app purchases. • No premium currency. • No energy meters, no timers you have to pay to skip. • Offline earnings capped at 24 hours, not 12 — and that cap only ever goes up. • Plays fine with no connection.

GAME CENTER Four leaderboards and nine achievements, if you want them. Entirely optional — the game never makes you sign in.

Fathom is a finished game, not a service. Nothing is held back from you, and nothing asks for your wallet once you are in.
