My only complaint is that the ringing/vibrating for when the timer goes off for the end of study sections and breaks is too short. Sometimes when I’m too immersed in studying (or taking a break) the timer will go off and I won’t hear it. Then I’ll either get too long of a study time and feel fatigued, or I’ll waste time on break. If there could be a timer that would continue ringing/vibrating until you stopped it yourself, it would be perfect! The sound alert for the timer does not work when app is exited but still running in the background, which isn't ideal as I need to open other apps on the ipad to get my work done. So I tried to leave the app open on split screen, hoping this would solve the issue of the nonexistent notifications. However this did not work. This is extremely frustrating as you are left to overwork your target and leads to time blindness and further procrastination. And yes, all the permissions on the app are turned on yet still no sound alert. ### 2/5 — Cats die suddenly, no support *2024-03-11* I had a cat who lived for 18 days. I'd been studying every day but when I woke up one morning the cat was dead. I emailed support but got NO response. I created another cat and got to 23 days before that cat died. I'm frustrated with this app. It really is a hit to my motivation by having this continue to happen. It breaks my study streak and the lack of support from the developers is disappointing. I had bought the Premium version. If they could fix or explain whatever is happening to cause these cats to die, premium might be worth it. As it is I suggest people interested in this app use a web based pomodoro counter if you care about maintaining daily goals and seeing them continue over time. Sadly, I will be going web based now and delete the app. ### 2/5 — dont get the ipad version along with iphone. *2024-02-11* Dont getthe ipad version to sync with your iphone. my cat passed away before my eyes, because I hadnt been using the ipad version of him, only my phone version of him. I had the unfourtanate luck of opening my ipad version of this app a week later. ( my iphone version was open tat the same time as I was in the midst of studying) and the dead version on my ipad overrode my iphones data and ended him despite regular studying the entire month. I thought the whole point of syncing was that I could use either device to study. now hes gone and I cant bring him back. needless to say I deleted the ipad version immeadiately. I paid for premium and was honestly hoping for better syncing r at least a restore option. theres no reason he should have not lived, as he was well fed on my phone. ### 2/5 — Some basic functions are not working *2022-02-08* Lovely cats! But so many errors!! 1. The app’s time zone is not the one of my phone’s system time. I’m in North America and the study session I’ve made in the afternoon will be calculated to the next day. 2. The time appearing after one study session is always wrong. One day I finished one session of long study, and it says congrats! … You studied: 80min. And for most of the time it’s just congrats! … you studied Error Time! min. These two errors bother me the most. It also has other errors like saying my cat ate 8 bowls but only showing 7 bowls on the figure; one button click on my Bluetooth speaker fails the whole study session; and one time I put the phone under my book (face down) and 30min after I saw the time paused at 39:57.
