## What is FaultBuddy?

FaultBuddy is your essential companion for managing and identifying train faults. Designed for drivers, fitters, and operational staff, it provides quick and reliable access to detailed fault information, wherever you are.

Features:

Import a TFLS (Train Fault Library Standard) file to unlock your operator’s fault data
Browse or search by fault codes, categories, and symptoms
View rectification steps (where supported by your operator)
Works offline – perfect for on-the-go or in-cab reference
Whether you're on the road, in the depot, or troubleshooting on the spot, FaultBuddy helps you stay informed and in control.

Note: FaultBuddy requires a compatible TFLS file provided by your operator.

Bug fixes and improvements

### 1.2 — 2026-01-26

Voice Search
Tap the microphone and say the fault you are looking for. Search while your hands are busy on the train or in the depot, without typing a single word.

Favorites
Swipe right on any fault to save it for later. Quickly reopen your most-used faults from the star button on the main screen, instead of searching every time.

Improved Fault List
Fault titles now show in full, so you can read complete names at a glance and pick the exact fault you need without guessing.

Reorganised Settings
Settings is now organised into clear sections:
Library Management for controlling which fleets and documents you see.
Preferences for personal options like haptics and display.
About for app info, support, and version details.

Onboarding
A new step-by-step welcome flow guides you through adding libraries, searching faults, and saving favourites, so you can be productive on your first use.

Haptic Feedback
Subtle vibrations give instant feedback when you search, save favourites, or change settings, making the app feel more responsive. You can turn haptics on or off in Preferences.

Bug Fixes and Performance
Dates now appear correctly on train type cards, so you can see how current each item is.
Unused features have been removed to keep the app focused, faster, and more reliable in the field.

### 1.1 — 2025-05-12

You can now share fault libraries with other users. Make sure you have the go-ahead from your operator before sharing, as these libraries may include proprietary content.
