## What is FAUNA?

FAUNA brings the lives of animals together in one place: health, routine, walks, and the people who look after them.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• A profile for each animal, with photos, breed, age, microchip and documents
• Vaccines, medication, weight and appointments, with reminders of what is coming due
• A calendar with the full history, month by month and day by day
• Walks recorded with the route on the map, the distance and the time
• A health card with a code to show your vet, or whoever is looking after them
• Co-guardians: whoever shares the care sees and records the same things
• Shared accounts, so you know what caring for them really costs
• Adoption: shelters list the animals they have, and you apply through the app
• A community: posts, stories, groups and the question of the day
• A map with vets, shops, parks and shelters around you
• Events: real shows, fairs and walks, with the source in plain sight
• Lost and found, alerting whoever marked the same area
• A Marketplace to buy and sell between owners (no animals are sold)

WHO IT IS FOR

For people who have animals, for people who help, and for people who work with them. There are shelter accounts, for whoever takes animals in and puts them up for adoption, and professional accounts for vets, trainers, groomers, boarding kennels and shops — with a profile, services, opening hours and bookings.

GENUINELY MULTI-SPECIES

This is not a dog app with a field that says "other". The horse has its training, the aquarium has its readings, breeding has its litters, and the dog still has everything you expect. Several species, from dogs and cats to cattle, poultry and fish.

BOOKING, BUYING AND PAYING

Booking with a business and talking to a seller is free, and works today. Paying inside the app becomes available as each business connects its account — until then you arrange it directly with them, and FAUNA neither receives nor holds that money.

WHAT YOU PAY, AND WHAT YOU DO NOT

Using FAUNA costs nothing: there is no paid account, no features reserved for people who pay, and no limit on animals. The profile, the health records, the reminders, the walks, the health card, the co-guardians, the shared accounts, the community, the map, adoption, the events, lost and found and the Marketplace are open to everyone.

FAUNA earns a percentage of the money that moves through it, and only of that: 12% of a booking paid inside the app, and 7% of a sale of goods in the Marketplace. On animals and on adoption it earns nothing, ever.

The only optional purchase is featuring one of your listings in the Marketplace, so it appears higher up. It does not open any feature.

NO TRICKS

FAUNA never charges anything for an adoption, neither to the adopter nor to the shelter: if a shelter asks for a fee, it goes entirely to that shelter.

WHO IS BEHIND IT

FAUNA is published by STEADYDAWN, LDA, a Portuguese company with tax number 519618637, based in Funchal. It is responsible for your data, and this is written in the Terms and in the Privacy Policy.

Portuguese, English, Spanish and French.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.2.3 — 2026-10-09

• The "Today" widget and Siri now work. In the previous version they never connected to the app, so anyone looking for them came up empty.
• The next dose, the vaccine coming due, today's booking or the food running out, on your home screen and without opening the app.

### 1.2.2 — 2026-10-07

• The home screen widget. The next dose, the vaccine coming due, today's booking or the food running out — without opening the app.
• "Siri, start Bobi's walk" and "Siri, I gave Bobi the medication".
• Each animal's photo gallery, inside their profile.
• Everything else keeps arriving through automatic updates, without waiting for a new version.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-10-02

• Everything is free. There is no paid account, no features reserved for people who pay and no limit on animals: mating, the animal's recap, the timeline, the weight charts, the food and medication stock and the travel checklist are now open to everyone.
• Shelter accounts have opened. Shelters list the animals they have, and you apply through the app.
• When one side of a conversation deletes their account, the conversation stops pretending they are still there.
• Whoever was invited only to view an animal can no longer write in its profile.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-09-23

No release notes.
