## What is faux pas?

faux pas turns listening into confident writing, in five languages.

Pick Korean, English, French, Italian or Spanish. Listen to a sentence, write it yourself, and see exactly what changed, with a short explanation when you need it. Each language also has its own focused practice: spelling, agreement, homophones, accents, spacing or final consonants, depending on the language.

Save useful sentences to Notes, follow your level per language, and let Practice History show what to work on next. Add a second language any time from Profile; every language keeps its own level and history.

- Levels 1–10 are free in every language
- Premium unlocks Levels 11–99 for the language you choose
- Monthly and annual auto-renewable subscriptions, per language
- Interface in the study language or English

Prices are shown in your local currency on the purchase screen. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Your subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.1.1 — 2026-10-12

Practice now runs through a whole level without stopping every 10 sentences. Once you have seen every sentence, retry just the ones you missed; the level completes when they all pass. Level-ups apply right away, up to two levels at a time. Refined for iOS 27.

### 1.1 — 2026-10-07

faux pas now teaches five languages in one app: Korean, English, French, Italian and Spanish. Pick a language on first launch, add more from Profile, and keep a separate level for each. Premium is sold per language; existing English subscriptions continue unchanged.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-10-02

Improved dictation scoring and category progress.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-26

A much smaller download: practice content now loads online. Borrowed words now show their origin and US/UK pronunciation. Your levels and progress carry over.

### 1.0 — 2026-09-24

No release notes.
