No it is not free! I was invested in the story so I purchased a week subscription. The author had 2 different ideas and put the book together. There is not anywhere to comment to the author and when I addressed it with the app, I was told they cannot interfere with an authors creativity. Sure but what if it’s improving ideas for them. The beginning of the book changed about a quarter of the way in. The rest of the book was pretty good but no ending. Disappointing app for sure! Also, there is no way to unsubscribe through the app meaning you’ll need to email them. They charged me twice while I was emailing them and trying to get it cancelled and figure out which app it was. There was no way to cancel in the app. They have not even responded to the email except for an initial blanket response so I’m having to do a fraud investigation with my bank cancel my debit card. I tried to cancel it and it tricks you by saying you sign up through apple subscription but it doesn’t show up there AT ALL! It’s perfect for a busy person just wanting a quick read. Is $15 a week expensive? Yes, but I’ve also paid by the chapter for 1000+ chapter books before, so I’m not the best gauge for that. As for cancelling, you have to make sure you choose “Apple” and not anything else (like “PayPal”) when you first pay to have it show up on your Apple subscriptions page. Then it’s easy to cancel. Personally, I enjoy the really short, repetitive, and dumb stories.
