It was able to accept payment and pretend to send the documents. It kept giving me an error message. I ended up paying for the fax at an office supply store. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work as advertised *2024-05-14, version 2.9.6* The app indicates that the first page is free, however; it seems as though only the cover letter is free. I attempted to send out my fax but I received an error message. An option appears stating “see why” but when I click it it just takes me back to the location where I can reattempt to send my fax. It then gives me the option to apply a cover letter which did not happen the first time around. I fill out the cover letter, attach the fax in which I want to send and it’s telling me that both will be for free and anything after that will be an additional charge. When I submit send, it is asking to apply credits in order to send off my fax. I should’ve listen to the other comments that said the same thing happened to them before downloading the app. ### 1/5 — Not free and not worth it. *2022-04-28* The only part that’s free is your first page which is the cover letter they provide. Then you have to Pay for coins in order to cover the cost. Completely false advertising. Doesn’t allow free Incoming nor outgoing faxes. But the most deceptive in exploitative part about this common practice is your forced to create an account with your personal information and receive nothing. The only indication was The word “free” is in quotation marks every time it’s listed. The only part that’s free is your first page which is the cover letter they provide. **Developer response:** 85% of users worldwide send a cover page and/or one fax page. This fax app is totally free for those users. For the 15% of users that send more than one fax page, you have to pay for the additional fax pages. No other fax app on the market gives you anything for free. And many of them trick you into signing up for subscriptions that charge up to $9.99/per week. We give one free cover page/one free fax page and additional fax pages are pay as you go. Over 90% of our users appreciate this business model and it is reflected in the reviews. I developed this fax app because I faxed my drivers license to a car dealership a few years back and was charged $5.99. I believe sending a single fax page should be free. If a user is not satisfied, I immediately refund them and/or give them free credits to send their fax. I contacted the developer and they were replaced... but maybe not all of them. I sent a couple of faxes since then. My credits are at zero again and I had some left. ### 4/5 — Needed a pay as u go fax *2020-12-28* I really needed a pay as you go fax since most people don’t except them in my area, everybody does email or scanning attachments. But, you still have a few of those to ask for a fact so if I’m not in the office, I’ve had a hard time being able to do this and I found this one without having to pay $30 a month for a service I might use once or twice every six months! Yes. Here’s how. *2020-07-24* As others have said you really don’t seem to get an option for sending a fax for free when you get to the point to send the fax. The developer responds by saying you will get a pop-up that gives you free credits for sending your fax. I got to the final page and was ready to send the fax. At the bottom below the send fax button it says it takes 32 credits. At the top right it shows a balance of zero credits. There is no pop-up for free credits. I didn’t want to touch the send button because I wasn’t sure I would get the free credit offer based on what others said in their reviews. Out of curiosity I touched the zero credit and to my surprise the pop-up appeared. I chose the free credit option and the balance showed 32 credits. So that’s the trick. Touch the credit balance to get the free credits. If that were clearly explained I would have given it 5 stars. Side note: Auto renew subscriptions are managed in the phone settings, Apple Account, subscriptions not in app’s settings. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Fax was a breeze *2026-03-16, version 3.0.4* First time user and found the app easy to use, included a fit for purpose cover sheet and delivery confirmation. The app does not scan but allows for scans or photos in your library to be accessed for the document package.
