I signed up and paid $8.99 for the service, only to have my documents fail to fax because I was told I had “too many pages.” Instead of the service working as expected, I was forced to upgrade shortly after and paid an additional $17.99 just to try to complete my fax. After spending more money and still having a frustrating experience, I contacted customer support, still had to go through a loop to send my documents. My interaction with the representative Laura was extremely disappointing. She was unwilling to refund the original $8.99 charge, despite the fact that the service did not meet my needs and I only upgraded because of the issue I encountered. It’s disappointing that Fax.Plus would rather lose a customer over an $8.99 refund than take accountability and provide good customer service. A simple resolution would have changed my entire experience, but instead I will no longer use this service and would not recommend it to others. ### 1/5 — NOT FREE *2026-06-30, version 21.1* There is no way to send for free. No trial, no test page so don’t waste your time if you have just one fax to make lol. Other than that it’s okay ### 1/5 — Waste of time *2026-06-23, version 21.1* I only needed to send a single fax but there is no option to do so as you can only pay for a minimum of a month with Fax.Plus. I tried using the free version but the fax failed to send despite repeated attempts. The free option gives 10 free pages however this app can’t count. Every time I tried to send two pages, it counted three pages which significantly diminished my ability to send anything else. Absolute waste of time and I would not dream of paying for this. I went to another app and was able to send the fax quickly and easily. ### 1/5 — Not working *2026-06-19, version 21.1* Free version Not working with camera ### 1/5 — Probably the worst, MOST crooked app ever…BE AWARE EVERYONE *2026-06-14, version 21.0* I needed to send a single..my 1 and ONLY Fax ever in my 40+ years of life…I was already frustrated so I thought..screw it, I’ll just pay the $8.99 trial offer then cancel and be done..2 mins later an alert for my debit card pops up and it says denied charge for $179.75 ??????? I chose the cheapest plan and I guess they choose not the customer? Since it was denied Apple locked my account and it’ll stay that way til I allow the charge of $179.75 for 2 single pieces of paper…after researching I find out that this is NOTHING new to these crooks because why else would they have a NO refund policy? I guess they tend to ignore complaints for refunds along with anything else that could result in having to pull out your $$ that they lined there pockets with and giving any of it back… I will be getting my $ back…I promise and everyone else be careful and go elsewhere for your fax needs…because choosing the cheapest box for $8.99 when in fact it charges $179.75 then they’ll shrug it off by using the’ol didn’t you read the microscopic fine print that said we can charge ANYthing we please…this is the type of developer that is giving the App Store a bad reputation and it’s unacceptable. ### 1/5 — Terrible 1st experience *2026-06-04, version 21.0* It didn’t save my preference and sent the fax with the wrong area code. Now I want to cancel but of course cancelling is never as easy as subscribing. Well this is the second fax program that professed they offered a free fax option. Well after I spent time signing up and preparing my document for fax transmission - guess what! I looked all over the app information and COULD NOT FIND ANY WAY I COULD SEND MY FAX WITHOUT A FEE. Not user friendly when there is a problem. ### 1/5 — Scammers!!! Charged Me but Couldn’t Use the Service *2026-08-17, version 21.6* They charged my card, but I still couldn’t send my fax. Then they asked me to pay AGAIN to use the service. I paid for nothing. Very frustrating and misleading. ### 1/5 — Deceptive *2026-08-15, version 21.6* I would have happily subscribed to this app, but after the bait of getting ten free pages only occurring after the fact, after it guides you through subscribing, and only giving the option of free pages hidden in a navigational maze. The way to keep customers is to get the free 10 pages first, not deceptively after the fact. It would have been a great app to have but I’ll be asking for a refund. ### 1/5 — Is it just me? Or are there other people with the same issue? Because this would have been a 5 star. *2026-08-12, version 21.5* So I paid for the Basic option for the year $83.99 to give it a try. On my iPhone subscription it shows it doesn’t expire till April 6, 2027 which we’re still in 2026. I used it twice picked out my own fax number ever was working good, this may sound silly but I was happy to have my own fax system. But Till I logged back in using the same email address several weeks later and it’s not working the same. The plan changed to free and i contacted support and they said I don’t have a basic plan. Which to me is strange since I paid for the year subscription for it. They still haven’t been helpful with this issue and everything that was faxed suddenly disappeared like I never had an account with them. I don’t know if I’m the only one that ran into this issue before, so just be very cautious they might just take your money and pretend you never had an account. ### 1/5 — Deceptive Subscription Marketing *2026-08-07, version 21.5* Be careful when purchasing this app!!! I created an account, but the free plan was buried at the bottom. I followed that link, but it made me create another account. That account said free, but it there was 0 limit on pages. So now I have two accounts and try to delete one to start over, but it won’t sign me out; my only options are to continue or sign in again. Eventually I figured out how to get out and make sure I deleted accounts twice. What a mess! I think I’ll just go to a UPS store or Staples. For help or questions please email support@alohi.com. ### 1/5 — Paid For Nothing *2026-07-10, version 21.2* I purchased this app because I needed to send a fax. Unfortunately, it never worked as advertised. I tried multiple times, but each attempt resulted in a “Something went wrong” error. I contacted support, but they were unable to resolve the issue. In the end, I had to mail my documents through USPS instead, making the app completely useless for my needs. I deleted it and requested a refund through Apple, but my request was denied, even though the app failed to perform its primary function. Paying $8 isn’t the issue. Paying for a service that doesn’t work is.
