I’m finally paying to see and so far not impressed with news. Same things day to day. If I wanted a news paper I’d buy one, and that layout on a phone doesn’t not translate at all. This app actually makes sense and is much easier to read and navigate articles. I have to guess on a direct login or using the online edition to get to the full paper. ### 2/5 — Where are the daily crosswords? *2021-12-28, version 6.8.1* I want to do the Fayetteville Observer crosswords and print them out… The only way I can do it is delete the app sign online go to the E edition and print them out… The ones inside the app are USA today crossword‘s that’s not what I want. The app does not work. It will not load, and the current method of accessing this news “paper” crashes as soon as it opens. Customer service is non-existent, so when our subscription is up for renewal, if these problems are not corrected, we will not be renewing. ### 1/5 — Fayobserver updated e-edition *2021-02-25, version 6.4.0* Not user friendly, no comics, no access to past editions ### 1/5 — The Fayeteville Observer new app *2021-02-24, version 6.4.0* I have read the newspaper for about 40 Years but for the last few years we can’t get it until almost lunchtime and so I have basically been reading it on my iPhone, but this new app doesn’t let me see the newspaper like the paper edition which I have grown to enjoy and from what I am seeing from the comments of multiple other people, I am not alone in wanting to see the actual newspaper on the app. I don’t believe I could ever get used to how you are doing it on this new app so I am praying and hoping that you will make changes to allow us older readers have what we want and are used to. They promised that you can read the articles if you use their app. Now they have locked down any interesting ones unless you subscribe. Bait and switch! After the 6 month trial period, the monthly rate would be $7.99. Today I noticed that my bill for the $.99 trial subscription period indicated that the trial period ended one month from the date of my activating the subscription, not at the end of the 6 month and indicated when I activated the subscription. Buyers Beware!!!! I too was fooled into thinking that for $9.99 for the first year and $69.99 for the subsequent year. I was billed 79.99 with no indication of the trial year. I cancelled the subscription with the app indicating that I can access the paper until 9/22/24. Print will never be as fast as digital.
