### 3/5 — Error Screen

*2026-06-20, version 3.10.2*

Very hard to add co parent. Constantly getting error screen.

### 2/5 — Then most important part doesn’t work well

*2026-01-12*

For me, I needed an app for expenses the most. This was advertised as court-approved and I saw we could add in receipts for records. What a relief! However when you attempt to download the list of expenses, it will send a large spreadsheet, with no attached receipt/photos, poor categories, and basically something that I would have to look through individually and create a new spreadsheet if I wanted something to actually turn into the courts. This app feels like someone’s good idea that was just never finished. If you developers could make a better spreadsheet download for the expenses, (and where did the receipts go?!!!) it would gain 2+ more stars! Looking at My Family Wizard, but my ex will probably never agree to another app at this point.

**Developer response:** Hi,

Thank you for your review!
Sorry to hear that the exports feature did not suit your needs - we are planning to release a new version of the app in the next couple weeks, we will be improving features based on feedback of proactive customers, such as yourself!

Please reach out to us on support@fayr.com and we will reply within 1 business day!

### 4/5 — Good app

*2024-02-11, version 3.6.5*

This app is pretty good. The only suggestion I’d make is to be able to color coordinate the circles for parenting time on the calendar to my visual preference. My brain works opposite to how it’s set up - and is not a “know at a glance, without having to think” set-up.

If this would change, I’d almost say it’s better than Our Family Wizard. Especially for the price.

### 2/5 — Worst App I have Ever Encountered

*2023-10-31*

I am giving two stars because the calendar was easy to use. I could create a schedule day by day much more easily than other apps, which is why I bought it. After ten months of no issues, and logging daily parenting time, it suddenly crashed out of nowhere and I lost all of my data. Now it’s not even recognizing that I have an account. Beyond furious. I needed that data for my court case and now I have to reconstruct it in a different calendar. Whomever made this app, please fix this screw up.

**Developer response:** Hi,

Thank you for your review!
We apologixe for this incident, we have had some serious issues with the development and support team. Currently we are working hard to regain our reputation because of this.

### 3/5 — Not convenient/No notifications

*2023-08-15*

I enjoy the app because it allows for clear event communication. Easy to use as far as entering events/expenses into the app. However, editing is terrible. 1. It’s unlike a regular calendar, where if you have a series of events (parenting time every other weekend, kids practice every Monday, etc) you can’t edit the series, you have to EDIT EACH EVENT. We switched parenting time/days when the new school year started and we have to edit every single entry instead of the series, you can’t cancel the series. 2. You can’t have overlapping “events”. I have in the calendar all of the school breaks, so I can’t put it her camps/activities during the same time because it gives me an error that there is already an event at that time, but there isn’t. The system must only recognize the times and that it is a special event. It has been helpful for the most part, but as we are progressing and our kids are getting older, it’s beginning to be a pain to use. I will continue to use until I find a better solution only because I don’t want to have to update again.

**Developer response:** Hi,

Thank you for your review!
We have addressed some of your painpoints already and should have this resolved in the new app that will be released in the coming weeks.

### 3/5 — Great concept, poor app

*2023-07-25, version 3.6.5*

It’s a great concept. But the app randomly changes dates and times. You spend more time correcting dates and times than you do anything else and it’s soooo irritating.

### 3/5 — Not easy to use, helpful for calendar, no notifications

*2023-03-08*

Have tried to get notifications to show up on my phone (like they would for a text or FB messenger, etc) to no avail. There are tons of notices that show up on the app but won’t go away. Little quirks and details that don’t seem to be getting better. Going to look around for a different coparenting app.

### 2/5 — Not useful if more than one kid

*2023-02-13, version 3.6.3*

Cannot log parenting time for each child separately

### 3/5 — Loading Errors

*2022-12-21, version 3.6.2*

I keep getting this error where it won’t load the chat. Even when i redownload it.

### 2/5 — Texting glitches

*2022-01-03*

Good concept, lots of delays on the texting and glitches with the server. Overall the concept is good hopefully they can have a more reliable texting app otherwise it can cause too much frustration to be a useful app.

**Developer response:** Hi there,

Thank you for your review!
Your feedback is well founded and very important to us.
We are working hard to clean things up and also releasing a new version of the app in the coming weeks.

### 2/5 — Needs More

*2021-07-15*

This app was recommended by my lawyer and, on the most basic level, it achieves what it advertises; keeping coparents connected and organized. However, there are some basic features missing—outside of the frequent crashes—mark all notifications as read being a major oversight. When my coparent loads 20 doctor visits at once, I have to click through each of them—no way to clear the notification queue otherwise. I’ve found that time stamps are also a little wonky too, sometimes showing different times when I log into the app. Again, if you’re looking for something scrappy, this app can do it, but for the associated cost, it’s unclear to me that any of it goes towards further app development or user experience.

**Developer response:** Hi there,

Thank you for your review, it is very insightful!
We have made significant changes in the past months, including adding a free version and updating the user experience!
Moreover, we will be working hard to address any and all issues reported by proactive users such as yourself.

### 1/5 — App is trash.

*2021-01-11, version 3.1 (168)*

I really do not like to write bad reviews, but Fayr is bad. App doesnt work consistently. Wont send messages when connected to wifi, wont upload documents to file vault, and the company double charges. I have been paying $13.99 for this app since Fayr wont charging my account after I switched to Apple subscription.

Customer service is horrendous not reaching out when you have an issue.

I would give this app zero stars if possible.

### 1/5 — Exacerbated communication

*2020-11-09, version 3.1 (168)*

App freezes all the time. Notifications are not shown until date you open the app. Messages are not sent. For $10/month you’d be better off using snail mail for communication.

### 1/5 — App never works and won’t cancel

*2020-03-15, version 2.7 (157)*

I’ve not used this app since Aug of 2019 and cannot get it to cancel and when I did use it it froze all the time. Now I’ve been charged and their instructions aren’t even accurate to stop them. Truly disappointed they’re making money off people already in a bad position.

### 1/5 — Not great

*2020-03-09, version 2.6 (154)*

The concept is wonderful. The technology is extremely frustrating because this app is riddled with bugs...with no rhyme or reason for when it decides to not work. Additionally, it was not my idea to use this app so the fact that I’m forced to use a substandard product drives me even more crazy than I typically am 😀

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2026-01-17*

The app doesn’t show messages and there’s a glitch or something in their system. I’ve contacted support numerous times and no response. I’m seeing the message pop up in notifications, but when I open the app- I can’t see anything. I also can’t send any messages when I know the other parent is sending messages - very frustrating. Looking for a new app similar to AppClose and have yet to find a free working app to communicate effectively. I’ve tried our family wizard, talking parents and Fayr. All no good.

**Developer response:** Hi,

Thank you very much for your review!
We are sorry to hear you have experienced issues with Fayr, we have had disruptions in the development and support teams, but we are commited to regaining Fayr reputation as the best co-parenting app.

### 1/5 — Does not load

*2025-09-11*

I really wanted to like this app. The page setup/ look or it is great but the thing will not load at all, I’ve reached out to support many times via webpage because even submitting a support ticket through the app doesn’t even work. Coparenting can be frustrating enough at times so when you are messaging something important and you can’t even get to the messaging after several minutes/reloads, it’s extremely frustrating. It also only timestamps when a message is read and not when it’s sent so that’s a disadvantage too

**Developer response:** Hi there,

Sorry to hear you have had issues, we had some disruptions in our team.
We are working hard to address all outstanding issues, including the ones you describe here, so we would welcome you to give Fayr another try!

Please reach out to us on support@fayr.com and we will reply within 1 business day!

### 1/5 — Lost everything

*2023-12-06*

Literally lost everything from our parenting conversations for the last 2 years worst experience after paying $10 a month this app just crashed and I’ve emailed the company serval times over the last year and never received a response

**Developer response:** Hello,

Thank you for your review!
We are very sorry to hear that you had this issue, our development and support team had serious disruptions, which prevented us from giving clients the care they deserve.

Please reach out to us on support@fayr.com and we will reply within 1 business day!

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2023-09-18, version 3.6.5*

Having to deal with a narcissist co-parent is hard so I thought this would be a good idea but it won’t let me send a share link any other way.

App can’t be used

### 1/5 — Terrible Un-Fair App

*2023-09-03*

App does not provide real-time notifications for new chat comments. Makes app useless for parents whose ex has blocked phone calls, texts and emails as I’m sure many irrational exes do for no good reason. You cannot new line in vault notes or this review box for that matter to separate note subjects. Overall, definitely not worth the subscription price.

**Developer response:** Hi there,

Thank you for your review!

We have already addressed some and will be addressing more of your criticisms with a new version of the app launching in the coming weeks.

If you have any questions or comments, please reach out to us on support@fayr.com and we will reply within 1 business day!

### 1/5 — Continued Issues

*2023-07-19*

The app has not been loading my messages so I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and now it won’t let me into my account at all. This is the only form of communication I have with my ex-husband and there are important issues that need to be addressed right now about our kids and the issues the app is experiencing, and has been for days now, are making it impossible to work through! Do not use this app! Find a better one!!!

**Developer response:** Hi there,

Thank you for your review!

We have had serious issues with our development and support team, we are currently working hard to put things back in order.
As part of that, we will be launching a new version of the app in the coming weeks, which will address stability and continuity.

If you have any questions or comments, please reach out to us on support@fayr.com and we will reply within 1 business day!

### 1/5 — Horrible App

*2022-08-25, version 3.6.2*

Super glitchy and constantly freezes. Can’t change or alter a day if someone else scheduled something. Customer service took 30 days to email back about a question. Would not recommend to anyone.

### 1/5 — Terrible! Don’t purchase

*2022-06-15, version 3.3 (172)*

The support computers send standard answers to questions that do not help. Our app has not worked for over 8 months!
The notifications do not work.
Biggest mistake & made our communications worse. Thanks for nothing

### 1/5 — App works but does not provide any kind of notifications.

*2022-02-02, version 3.3 (172)*

App developer has emailed me back on 1/25/21, to let me know that it’s a known issue and they are working to fix it. I’ve had the app for one month and notifications have never worked. Using this app has proven to be more of an inconvenience than helpful. Any time send a message in the chat or add anything to the calendar I then have to reach out to the other parent via phone/text to tell them to check the app.

### 1/5 — Clunky, buggy

*2021-12-07*

If you need a co-parenting app you most definitely don’t need one that is going to make communication more difficult. The chat function is painful, and the parenting schedule forces 15 minute increments between transitions. This makes no sense. It should be a transition time that both parents are in agreement. Even the smallest negation has the opportunity to explode into conflict.

**Developer response:** Hi there,

Thank you for your review!
Your feedback is very well founded, we will take this into acount with our new release in the coming weeks!

If you have any questions or comments, please reach out to us on support@fayr.com and we will reply within 1 business day!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — New update is smooth

*2026-08-01*

The new update from the last few days is fantastic. It isn’t freezing up on me anymore which was causing me to force the app to shut down and restart. The interface is slick and feels more modern. And I love what you guys did with the read receipts. I’m still having an issue with not being able to scroll up very far to see previous messages so I have to export a report in order to see those messages. I still have a lot of functions to test out, but I’m sure those are great as well. Keep up the great work. The best thing about this app is how simple it is, and how it’s focused on communicating rather than litigating.

**Developer response:** Hi there! Thank you very much for the kind words - we have worked very hard to deliver this update and we are glad its appreciated! I have added the chat issue to our tasklist for the next sprint - we will resolve that for you. If you have any other feedback or questions, please dont hestitate to reach out to support@fayr.com

### 5/5 — Excellent app

*2025-01-08*

The Fayr app is an excellent tool for co-parents looking to collaborate effectively and stay organized. It offers an intuitive platform to plan and implement events, track activities, and keep both parents on the same page when it comes to their children’s schedules.

One of the standout features is how seamlessly it allows parents to coordinate and manage upcoming activities. From school events to extracurriculars, everything is in one place, making it easy to ensure nothing falls through the cracks. The shared calendar feature is particularly helpful, as it keeps everyone informed and eliminates the need for constant back-and-forth communication.

Fayr also provides space for notes and updates, which makes it easier to track details like deadlines, responsibilities, and even last-minute changes. This functionality fosters better communication and helps parents work as a team to prioritize their children’s needs.

Overall, Fayr is a fantastic resource for co-parents striving to create a smooth and efficient partnership. It’s user-friendly, well-designed, and makes the often-complicated process of co-parenting much simpler. Highly recommended!

**Developer response:** Great to hear that you like our app!
If you have any questions or comments, please reach out to us on support@fayr.com and we will reply within 1 business day!

### 5/5 — The best.

*2022-09-23, version 3.6.2*

The best

### 5/5 — Best co-parenting app I’ve found!

*2020-11-02, version 2.9 (165)*

I’m grateful for this app and all its useful features. Makes co-parenting just a bit easier.

### 5/5 — Is working now

*2020-02-11*

I was so hopeful to have found such an app to facilitate communicating with coparent. Had very high hopes. I Bought the app. Added my coparent. Cannot read his texts on the app itself, I just get the notifications on my iPhone, and when I try to send a message, I’m taken to a pop up that asks me to either disconnect parent or block them. Which I do not want to do. There are time sensitive messages due to extreme health issues that my son has and this isn’t working for us. Sent a couple of messages to support team and I’m still waiting for their assistance...I am hoping they will resolve said issue...

Edit: Thankfully they resolved the issue same day and so far so good!

**Developer response:** Hi there,

Thank you for your review!
We are committed to give you the best experience with the app that we can.

If you have any questions or comments, please reach out to us on support@fayr.com and we will reply within 1 business day!

### 5/5 — Great app for co-parenting!

*2020-01-28*

After doing some research and listening to several podcasts advertising the FAYR app, I decided to give it a try. This app is so easy to use! It has a GPS check in feature which is so helpful!!! I am able to enter my children’s schedules, upload documents, and keep record of expenses. This app has made my life a lot easier! Thanks you!!!!

**Developer response:** Hi there,

Thank you for the kind review, we really appreciate it!

If you have any questions or comments, please reach out to us on support@fayr.com and we will reply within 1 business day!

### 5/5 — Repeating Rotation

*2019-11-18*

Our schedule is a 3 week rotation, it it possible to add that option within the next few updates. Otherwise I have to add in each date manually for the next few months.

Also, it looks like it is now making us pay to use the app?

**Developer response:** Thank you for reaching out! I believe we were able to solve your issue when you emailed into the Fayr support inbox. If your request hasn't been resolved, please let me know and I will get on top of that for you.

I'm very happy that you are enjoying the app and wish you happy co-parenting!

### 5/5 — Building good habits

*2019-06-28*

This is a great app, easy to use, intuitive.
I also feel like I'm a lot better at communicating now. It forces you to think about your children first, and that's the most important thing!

### 5/5 — A great tool to simplify a complicated process

*2019-03-07, version 3.0*

This app is a wonderful way to coordinate the busy schedules of two single parents.

### 5/5 — Best coparenting tool!

*2019-01-10*

This app was so easy to use! I really like the expense tracker because it saves us from so many arguments. You can run reports right from the app incase you need them for court, which has been so useful. There have been time my ex hasn’t wanted to use it, which is fine because I have everything tracked on my end.
