## What is Fazool?

Fazool is a Muslim marriage app for people who are serious about nikah, with your family invited in and every profile checked against a real photo ID.

VERIFIED, BY A PERSON

Every member submits a real photo ID, reviewed by a human, then deleted. A selfie is matched against that ID, and duplicate faces are caught across accounts. Photos stay invisible to everyone until a human approves them. There are no anonymous viewers and nothing you can pay to be seen more.

BRING YOUR WALI

Invite up to three family members or trusted friends as chaperones. They get their own login, a read-only view of your matches and conversations, and a private thread with you. No workarounds, no awkward screenshots. Family oversight is built into the product, not a setting you toggle.

MATCH ON DEEN, NOT JUST DISTANCE

Filter by denomination, practicing level, community, education, and convert status. Share a dealbreaker before the conversation opens, so what actually matters is known early rather than four weeks in. Schedule a voice or video call inside the app when you are both ready, and your wali can observe.

YOUR PHOTOS, YOUR PACE

Keep your photos blurred and reveal them as a conversation earns it. Read receipts are always on. After a match runs its course, both people can rate the experience, and those ratings are reviewed by a person before they appear on a profile.

LIMITS ARE THE POINT

Five likes a day. Five matches at a time. Conversations expire after four days without a message. These limits exist to make you choose carefully. They are not friction you can pay to remove.

MORE THAN MATCHMAKING

Marriage is one of three separate spaces in Fazool, and you choose which ones you join.

Friends is same-gender friendship, matched on how you practice and where you live. Sisters meet sisters, brothers meet brothers. Opposite-gender friendship is excluded as a stated value, not an oversight.

Events is real-world gatherings near you: halaqas and talks, pickleball, game nights, dinners, classes, volunteering, Quran circles. Filter by what kind, when, whether the food is halal, and whether entry is free. Every event says plainly who it is for. Request a seat and the host approves you before the exact address is shared. Mosques and verified organizations host alongside individuals.

Nothing crosses between the three. Your marriage profile does not follow you into Friends, and joining an event does not put you in anyone's feed.

WHAT WE WILL NOT DO

No ads. No paid visibility boosts. No anonymous viewers. We do not sell attention, because prioritizing ad revenue and growth over safety is how a platform fills up with fake profiles and bots.

NEW SINCE LAST VERSION: SCHEDULED VOICE/VIDEO CALLING
- Calls happen between two matched users and are scheduled in advance.
- To test: sign in as Adam on one device and Aisha on a second device
  or simulator, open the match, schedule a call, and both join at the
  start time. A short demo time can be scheduled a few minutes out.
- Calls are real-time only. No call audio or video is recorded or
  stored.
- Microphone and camera are used solely for these calls and for voice
  notes and profile/ID photos, as stated in the permission prompts.
- Optional "Wali" (guardian/chaperone) feature: a guardian can observe
  a live call read-only for cultural-safety reasons. It records nothing.
- Safety: users can block and report from the profile and chat at any
  time.

FILTER AND PROFILE SCREEN
Revamped those two screens to be more functional and aesthetic.

WHO I LIKED LIST
Both users have the ability to view who they have liked.

BLURRING PHOTOS
Woman now have the ability to blur their photos and reveal as they seem fit.

AGE SIGNALS
The app uses Apple's Declared Age Range to receive an age-bracket
signal to support age-appropriate access. No exact birth date is
read from the system.
