## What is FBC in The Colony?

This app will help you stay connected with the day-to-day life of our church. With this app, you can watch or listen to past messages, stay updated with push notifications, read the Bible, and view our calendar. 

At FBC The Colony, we believe in the importance of doctrine based on God's divine revelation of Himself through Scripture. Here we have summarized our core beliefs and believe that the following statement of faith accurately represents the teaching of God's Word, and therefore, is affirmed by all members of FBC The Colony.

OUR PURPOSE
To glorify God the Father through Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, by :

sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in our community, nation, and world through evangelism (Matthew 28:19-20a)
growing in Christ through discipleship (Matthew 28:19-20a; 1 Peter 2:2; 2 Peter 3:18a)
serving others through ministry (1 Peter 4:10; Galatians 5:13b; Ephesians 6:7)
expressing our love of God through worship (Rom 12:1; Hebrews 12:28 )
encouraging one another through fellowship (1 John 1:7a; 1 Thessalonians 5:11; Hebrews 10:25)

We are a church where members make a difference by:

loving others
caring for needs
praying without ceasing
studying the Bible
reaching out with compassion
giving sacrificially
glorifying God through our unity
