I only gave a 2 star review because I can still connect to 1 camera. It appears the vendor doesn’t car either. ### 1/5 — Great app but needs a update. *2020-01-15, version 1.2.36* This app is great it works pretty nicely but needs to have bugs fixed, optimized, and updated for IOS 11, also I’ve noticed in iOS 11, 12 and 13 I don’t get notifications for Motion Alarms so please fix this ASAP! Thankyou! ### 1/5 — No sound *2019-12-20, version 1.2.36* Cameras were working perfectly but now I cannot get sound from any of the cameras on the app. When I view them on other than app I can get sound. When I first tried to return them, was told I could not. So, tried once again. They both show up in app but appear not to be recording ANYTHING. DO NOT PURCHASE ### 1/5 — Find another camera *2019-07-09, version 1.2.35* The motion detection stopped working altogether. When you press the speaker icon, a constant horrible and irritating feedback is heard. There are no microwaves on, no fans running, no TV or radio either. Just...the...camera. As for the speaker icon, good luck with that one! If you can actually get it to work, you sound like you’re in a really bad static zone. We’ve done the factory reset and reinstalled the app all in hopes it would fix the issues. Nope. As for support...they’ll tell to do the same. Find another camera and save yourself the hassle. ### 1/5 — Motion notification? *2019-05-14, version 1.2.35* Camera doesn’t not give motion notifications anymore and It won’t record when motion is detected. Cheap price... cheap product! ### 1/5 — Newer software delays connection *2018-10-23, version 1.2.35* Software updates after 1.2.31 cause at LEAST 10 second delay before live view of camera can be accessed. This is undeniable as i have tested on multiple devices with both old and newer software. MUST be fixed with next revision or camera loses half its value immediately. Please reply to users with software update asap and notes to state this has been fixed ### 2/5 — Update made recording useless *2018-10-22* The recordings no longer load making the camera pretty much useless now. We can watch it in real time, but just get a loading symbol when we are trying to watch any alert recordings. Made our $200 camera a pretty crappy purchase. We won’t be buying any more FDT cameras. ### 1/5 — Fix you app for iPhone *2018-09-06, version 1.2.35* Had no problems until I updated to their latest version. Can not view videos at all on my iPhone. Have been on the phone with FTD with no help in site. I was told I need to wait. I can view videos on laptop just not on iPhone. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME! Like, if you know it keeps happening, why isn’t there a permanent and preventative fix?? Come on now! Y’all JUST FIXED the issue from the previous year’s update like a month ago so are going to have to wait another 9 months to a year for y’all to get it together with a fix again?? About 2 months ago they all stopped working. Tech support says they are working on it, but nothing yet! They wont give any timeline for resolution. ### 1/5 — Do not buy. Stopped working on June 20th 2021 *2021-07-16, version 1.2.36* After using these cameras for 5 years, I have to throw them away because the FDT View app does not connect to the cameras from outside the Home Wifi. I contacted FDT company and they said their server is not working and they don’t know when they will have a working server. I’ve been waiting for a month already and no news. Even if I wanted to sell the cameras nobody would buy cameras they cannot view over the internet. Total waste of money and irresponsible company. ### 1/5 — Customer service and App are terrible!!! *2021-07-14, version 1.2.36* Everything was fine until about two months ago. I noticed that I couldn’t connect to the cameras at work. I’m not connected to WiFi at work because the cameras never connected when I’m on work WiFi. So using data it always connect. But one day it stopped working. I got home and connect to my home camera when I was on the WiFi at home. I also have cameras at a vacation home that I can’t connect to unless I’m on that WiFi. I sent number of emails keep getting the same answer we’re working on the issue. Still hasn’t been fixed. Bottom line find a different camera to use these are the worst. ### 1/5 — Remote access failure *2021-07-07, version 1.2.36* I have 3 FDT in cams and as of June 20th only one is visible through remote access. All three can still only be viewed on my internal WiFi network. I called FDT tech support and they said that they are aware of the issue and are working on it. As of July 7th still no access or update from FDT. ### 1/5 — Fdt camera *2021-06-21, version 1.2.36* After a year of having the camera all of my cameras now say that there is no Wi-Fi disconnected after resetting them all. Still getting disconnected. So whatever update they did the last time screwed up the cameras. Although the 1.2.35 update screwed up the remote viewing they got it fixed rather quickly. Trying to get however getting in contact with someone is a challenge. I finally was able to locate there tech support and received a reply back the next day. It’s a convoluted process and frustrating. Will probably upgrade some of my old 720p cameras to the new 1080p ones. A great system for the price. ### 4/5 — Thanks for adding colors! *2017-08-02, version 1.2.31* I use this handy app for keeping my eye on my 3-D printer throughout the day. It's really nice to colors are now clearly visible where as they were mostly black and white before. I wish there was a zoom option but maybe that's a future release ### 3/5 — Eh *2020-01-20, version 1.2.36* I like the camera and the app. But changes do need to come to the app. The app is very outdated. It works alright, but sometimes it freezes here and there, and is not letting download video recordings to my personal gallery on my phone. I can save snapshots I take to my gallery, but not video recordings. Other than that I have no complaints ### 3/5 — Notifications? *2019-05-11, version 1.2.35* When I first installed this app, I would get a notification on my iPhone anytime my camera motion sensor detected movement. Now, I don’t get them. Ok, I have 2 issues now 1. Time keeps resetting to Central Time. I’m Eastern Time and every time I set it and save, go back out and come back in, it’s back to Central. 2. If I leave email alerts to 1 picture, I get notifications on my iPhone and email, but when I set it to 3 pictures, I only get an email and it’s 2 hours after the alarm. I also want a notification I have it turned on.
