At first I loaded the game and it would freeze. I contacted them and they gave me a free copy via Steam. REVIEW: This is easily the best $1 I've spent in the App Store. Although the game is relatively short for an RPG (I beat the game in less than six hours on "veteran"), the lack of game length is made up with great voice acting, fun gameplay, and the best iOS battle system I've ever used. I liked this game so much, I gifted it to both of my brothers and girlfriend. I am having a blast! There is so much to like about this game. If your interested in JRPGs do yourself a favor and pick this one up! Highlights for me are: The combat system, it's fun and addictive. I like that I can reallocate skill points and attributes to try different types of builds. The art style, it's different and it adds something special to the game. The monsters! The story, it's bizarre, reminds me of Alice in Wonderland. The music (especially the title screen). Played on iPad mini 2 w/ retina and iPhone 6. Current OS. Update: I just finished the game on casual. It took me 5 hours and 38 minutes. What a great game. I still want to replay the levels on a harder difficulty. No buyers remorse here. They announced the game years ago and I have been ecstatic to play it but screw me, right? Boo tinybuild, boo. Release Party Hard on iOS, seriously. ### 2/5 — Please fix control button issues!!!!! *2019-09-20, version 2.6.0* The game I purchased was intended to be not only just a stunning masterpiece but one where the players actually combat, when having a weapon in their hand. I don’t know if anyone else has had issues but on my iPad where it’s up to date I can’t get past the first scene. Please fix, so i do not have to struggle to like a game. Thank you! BTW i do have an iPhone that is up to date as well but at my age i cannot see the screen for these kind of games.. One last thing is that i just had a major update so wasn’t sure how much that played in the battle to have issues. Everything else i do play has not been this off as far as control for attack mode or mainly to do anything as it freezes up after hitting buttons etc.................. ### 3/5 — Highs n' Lows *2015-05-19, version 2.6.0* Highs: Great male voice-overs. Unique and fun battle system. Graphics are easy on the eyes. Lows: Very linear gameplay and world. Some of the special moves and spells are a pain too pull off. Only fight in waves - gets tedious. Why I Quit: Once the female character said "Jimminy Biscuits" a second time I had all that I could stand - worst line ever in a video game. ### 4/5 — Fearless Fantasy *2016-06-20, version 2.6.0* I wouldve gave this a 5, if I were into over inflated scores, but Im not. Its combat dynamics are pretty on, utilizing what the phone has to offer. For a buck itd be a waste not to get it. It also inspired me to write my first review- twice, given my nick was taken ### 4/5 — Legend of Dragoon IOS *2015-08-08, version 2.6.0* This game reminds me of the fight scenes in the PS1 Classic Legend of Dragoon. The timing and rhythm elements add a question of quick reflexes to battles. I wish healing spells didn't fail so easily, but mastering combat skills felt very satisfying. I think this game is worth the buck or two it sells for, and I loved the three hours of gameplay I got out of it. ### 4/5 — Pleasantly Surprised *2015-08-07, version 2.6.0* RPG is not my cup of tea, but it was on sale, and has the right amount of weird, humor, and spot on touchscreen mechanics to overshadow any trepidation that I might have toward this genre. That may seem basic to some, but it provides such an easy alternative to the average “over 90 skills to choose from” type games. The combat is great, with all attacks being quick time events you have to learn, but it’s the little things: the resetting skills without paying, the voice acting, the creature design, and the increasing difficulty of QTE as you level up skills, that make this game wonderful.
