## What is Feastie?

Feastie is a calorie tracker you feed with photos. Take a picture of your meal and AI names the dishes and their portions; calories, protein, carbs and fat are worked out at once, and anything that looks wrong is one tap to fix.

PHOTO RECOGNITION
Snap one dish or the whole table. AI matches what it sees against official nutrition databases such as the Taiwan FDA's, picks the closest food and estimates the portion. Include the nutrition label of a packaged food in the shot for an exact reading.

SEARCH AND MANUAL ENTRY
No camera needed: search a built-in catalogue of thousands of foods and add one with a tap. For a food the catalogue lacks, describe it in a sentence and let AI estimate it, or enter the numbers yourself.

GOALS AND MACRO SPLITS
Enter your height and weight to estimate your daily energy needs, set a daily calorie target, and choose a balanced, high-protein or low-carb split.

HISTORY AND TRENDS
Home shows what you have eaten today and what is left; step back a day at a time or pick a day from the photo calendar to look back and add a meal you missed. Trends follow your weekly average calories and macros.

FEASTIE PRO
Photo recognition and the text estimate are free 3 times a day; more recognitions need a Feastie Pro subscription, free for the first 7 days, with up to 12 AI recognitions a day and a more accurate recognition model. Logging, search, goals and trends stay free for good, whatever the subscription.

ACCOUNT AND CLOUD BACKUP
No sign-in needed: your diary stays on your phone. Sign in with Apple or Google and your meals, photos and goals are backed up to the cloud, so a new phone or a reinstall gets them back the moment you sign in, and one account works across your devices. Free, with 1 GB of photo space per account and 5 GB for Feastie Pro subscribers; once you sign in, Feastie Pro follows the account too, on iPhone and Android alike.

PRIVACY
Photos are used for recognition only and are neither stored nor logged by the recognition server. Your cloud backup is visible to your account alone, and you can delete the account and everything in the cloud from inside the app at any time.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.12.0 — 2026-09-24

- Feastie Pro now follows your account: sign in with the same account and it works on both iPhone and Android; the day's AI recognitions are counted per account too.
- The subscription card in Settings shows where the subscription was bought and where to manage it, and tells you if you are paying on both stores.
- On first launch you can choose "Already have an account? Sign in" and your profile and goal come back from the cloud, no need to fill them in again.
- The daily reminder's switch and time now sync with your account.

### 1.9.0 — 2026-09-21

- Home now walks back in time: the arrows beside Today's meals step one day at a time, so you can look back and add a meal you missed.
- A calendar opens from the top right of Home: each day shows its meal photos, and tapping a day takes you there. Any past day is reachable, and the year is picked from a list.
- The second tab is now Trends and opens straight onto your weekly nutrition trends; tap the tab again to return to this week.
- Looking back day by day, which used to live in History, is now done from Home's arrows and calendar.

### 1.8.0 — 2026-09-19

- Weighed your food? Type the grams straight in: tap Enter beside the portion. ± still steps half a serving.
- Full-screen photos now swipe left and right through every photo of the meal; drag down to close.
- On Home and History, a meal's photo shows in its corner how many photos it kept.
- The camera now works held sideways, and its buttons and hints turn with the phone.
- Tap the tab you are on again to jump back to the top of it.
- Text fields get a button that puts the keyboard away.

### 1.7.2 — 2026-09-17

- A new Confirm Photo step after the shot: add a note the photo cannot show (two dumplings still in the soup), and up to 3 extra photos — the nutrition label, another angle, the menu — for the AI to read together.
- Feastie Pro now runs the AI on a more accurate recognition model: dishes and portions come back closer.
- The nutrition label on a food's detail page pages through every photo of the meal and shows the note.
- Free AI recognition stays at 3 a day, with three more the next day. Logging, search, goals and trends stay free.
- The camera hint now says to shoot the food first; the label and other angles come on the next step.
- Fixed a crash that could happen on some devices when opening the camera.

### 1.5.0 — 2026-09-14

- Japanese and Korean now come with their own food databases: over 2,500 foods from Japan's Standard Tables of Food Composition and over 4,800 from Korea's K-FIND. Search in your own language, and photo recognition knows the everyday dishes; in Chinese and English they show under translated names.
- Every food now reads in your language: in Japanese and Korean the 2,000-plus built-in Taiwanese foods, online USDA results and AI estimates show Japanese and Korean names, and in Chinese the online USDA results show Chinese names with the English description underneath.
- Units follow the language in search and recognition results: 杯, 個 and 食分 in Japanese, 그릇, 개 and 인분 in Korean.
- The recognition screen now says it is matching against official food databases.
- The food search field now has a clear button to empty the query in one tap.
