## What is Feastmark?

Built by Raul, an Air Force veteran and solo developer. Feastmark is the recipe saver I wished I had.

You saved the recipe. Good luck finding it again.

Maybe it's a TikTok you liked three weeks ago. Maybe it's an Instagram post you sent to yourself, or a video where the ingredients flash by so fast you keep scrubbing back to read them. The recipe's in there somewhere. You just can't cook from it.

Feastmark pulls it out for you.

Hit Share on a recipe video or link and pick Feastmark. It reads the post, and if the cook only says the recipe out loud, it listens to the video too. What comes back is a real recipe, with ingredients you can check off and steps you can follow. It's saved right on your phone or iPad.

After you make it, jot down how it went. Give it a rating and a note like "less salt next time." That note is waiting for you the next time you open the recipe.

SAVING
• Share from TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and recipe blogs. No copying and pasting
• Or paste a link right into the app
• If the caption skips the recipe, Feastmark gets it from what's said in the video
• When a video never gives the steps, Feastmark suggests some and labels them as suggested
• Type in your own recipes and add a photo
• If an import doesn't come through, it's saved as a draft you can finish in a few taps

COOKING
• Cook Mode shows one step at a time in big type, with ingredients you tap to check off
• On an iPad turned sideways, the step sits next to the ingredient list
• Steps with a time in them get a timer. "Simmer 20 minutes" becomes one tap
• The screen stays on, so you're not poking it with wet hands
• Change the servings and every ingredient rescales
• Making a drink? The button says Make instead of Cook

REMEMBERING
• Log each cook with a rating, a photo, and what you'd change
• Your "next time" note shows up on its own when you come back to the recipe
• Keep your own notes on any recipe
• Mark favorites and sort recipes into collections however you think about them
• Search looks at ingredients and tags as well as titles, so typing chicken finds every chicken recipe

YOURS, AND ONLY YOURS
• Free. Your library, Cook Mode, and every recipe you save stay free for good
• No account to make
• No ads, and nothing tracking what you do in the app
• Your recipes stay on your device. Turn on iCloud and they sync to your other Apple devices too. Feastmark never sees them.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.4 — 2026-10-28

iCloud sync is your call now.

There's a new Sync with iCloud switch in Settings. If you already sync, nothing changes. New installs start with it off, so recipes stay on your iPhone until you decide otherwise. Turning it off never deletes anything from iCloud.

Sharing a recipe to Feastmark is a little more fun to watch while it works. Late at night, it might need some coffee.

And if Feastmark has earned a spot in your kitchen, there's a quick way to leave a review in Settings.

### 1.2.3 — 2026-10-26

Recipe photos that stay put.

TikTok's photo links stop working a couple of days after you save a recipe. That's why some of your TikTok recipes ended up with a blank picture. Now Feastmark keeps its own copy of the photo when you save, so it stays, even offline.

Recipes you saved before this update get the same fix when you open the app, as long as their photo link still works. If a photo is already gone, you can add your own from the recipe's Edit screen.

### 1.2.2 — 2026-10-23

Suggested steps, clearly labeled.

Some recipe videos list the ingredients and never say what to do with them. Before, Feastmark either gave up on those or quietly filled in steps of its own. That second one bugged me, because it looked like the cook's method when it wasn't.

Now, when a video has no steps, Feastmark writes simple ones from the ingredients and marks them as suggested, on the recipe and in Cook Mode. The recipe page has a link back to the video, so you can watch how it's really done.

Change the steps yourself and the label goes away. They're yours at that point.

This works on recipes you save from now on. Recipes already in your library stay as they are.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-10-17

Fixes iCloud sync.

In 1.2, recipes weren't making it to iCloud, and some people who updated opened Feastmark to an empty library. That one's on me, and I'm sorry.

This update keeps your library in the same spot on your phone, so an update can't hide it again. iCloud sync works now too. Your recipes back up on their own the next time you open the app.

If your library came up empty after 1.2 and you have another iPhone or iPad that still shows your recipes, open Feastmark there with the same iCloud account. They'll sync over. If that phone was the only place they lived, I can't bring them back from my side.

### 1.2 — 2026-10-16

Recipes now sync across your iPhone and iPad with iCloud — no Feastmark account required.

See sync status in the Library, force a Sync Now from Settings, and check Sync Logs if something looks off. First-time sync of a large library shows progress and timing tips.

For the smoothest sync, keep your devices on the same major iOS / iPadOS version and signed into the same iCloud account.
