I just downloaded it, I’m a finger artist, and I can’t figure out how to actually paint 😭😭 ### 4/5 — Interesting concept *2024-07-23* From an engineering perspective, THIS APP IS GREAT. It allows you to sketch and draw your design but 3d! IT IS NOT AA CAD SOFTWARE!! You can use this to get your “rough” draft down before refining details in your actual design. From an artists perspective, this app isn’t that great. However I can see this app similar to procreate or ibis paint with the bare basics. It is missing a lot of key featured like selecting an area or a way to input hex codes. Coloring is hard because the erase tool doesn’t always erase and isn’t smooth and the strokes themselves are choppy. Everything is on another dimension though so you must understand that drawing on 2d is different than drawing 3d. So far this app is really good for sketching the wireframe and outlines of your designs and products. It takes a lot more to get it to look visually appealing. If some of the features were fixed or added, this would be my #1 designing app. ### 2/5 — 3d import doesn't work,lack of documentation *2024-07-20* I wanted to like this program, but I can't find out why none of my 3d objects aren't importing. There's barely any useful documentation. No palm rejection also makes this extremely annoying to use. Also would be nice to an easy way to know which view your in and also be able to just click into what view you want to go in. Loads of potential but loads of annoyances. ### 3/5 — pretty cool! *2024-07-02* The app is good so far, but i cant seem to find out how to draw, even if i tap the draw icon, it still wont let me. ### 2/5 — This severely needs new features *2024-05-28* At the top of my head my requests be as followed 1# Fusing / merging different 3D layers together. Trying to get my shapes to mold tighter is hard if not impossible. I want to see my 3D models fuse since I can’t even copy and paste together. #2 A feature that allows you to form basic shapes like boxes and triangles like on regular painting apps. Only it should work for cutting out the shapes more cleanly. I want to polish off rugged lines and it stresses me out to smoothen everything altogether #3 More then two different brushes. I don’t like the oily look that I’m forced to work with. Hard brushes and school pens come to mind. Using a hard brush to clean off rough edges once again would be better. #4 Being able to use more then two images as references. This app has potential but it’s far behind because of the few amount of features. #4 This is a free competitor for blender out there. But hear me out. I want to make characters that aren’t completely flat. Like Chibis or 3D pixels, I don’t know what to call it, maybe cubic shapes? If cubic shapes were easy to merge together or something that would be very charitable. This has potential. I can tell it’s supposed to be a “feel good” app. Also being above to save guides and look at other people’s works on this app through a gallery or something that anyone can access. I hope this feedback is somewhat motivational for the developers. :) ### 4/5 — Very promising start *2024-05-05* App is very very promising. Am impressed w/ the YT videos they’ve put out to date - developers clearly love their product / seem responsive to comments. Reminds me of a stripped down Blender grease pencil / version of Ipad Mental Concepts (which had such a promising start then stopped developing). Look forward to seeing next iteration. Would love the ability to save guides / have standard XYZ planes you can draw OTB (maybe you could add that as subscriber features ?), more brush + fill types / snapping etc (for more precision line drawing scenarios - have architect background). The guide creation process maybe could be better understood if there was on the fly animations of the guide as you’re drawing it so that the user understands how the bending occurs to the first guide you’ve put down - just a suggestion. Would love to see if devs can address offline issues - this is a must IMO. If there is an extra step, then why aren’t you showing it? I know full well it doesn’t require an apple pen, so it must be glitched. Thank you. ### 2/5 — Fun, but insanely laggy *2024-10-04* Like another reviewer said, this is a very promising app for 3d, and I’ve been absolutely loving drawing. Unlike most other free modeling tools (such as software giant Autodesk’s Tinkercad program), Feather allows the user to create and edit the appearance of abstract shapes. Because of this, Feather stood out from every other tool option (mostly paid apps). I highly recommend it as a portfolio for your imagination. ### 5/5 — 3D professional review *2024-07-11* Fantastic product! I work in the film and video game industry for the last 25 years and have used and tried many creative products for concept work in 3D space and I have started to use this to provide concepts for one of my recent projects and everyone I have shown the results have been blown away and many of them want to use this for their explorations as well. The only wish I had would be a way to blend colors together for softer gradients of colors, it would help to communicate more variations to the visual feel and textures for different materials, which is very key in concept art when communicating visually. I saw this app on tiktok and decided to give it a try, at first, it was really hard to use but I now often use it to make simple looking landscapes, though there’s two things I’d like to see in it.. 1: Maybe the ability to add simple shapes as “canvases” in it? Like spheres, cubes or pyramids, it’s a little hard to make something like those as a complete canvass on your own, so I’d prefer if I were able to do that! 2: I know you guys are going to make more brushes, but, similar to a feature in apps like procreate, what if we were able to make our own by importing a photo? It’d be really cool if we were able to that :) That’s all!
