Lots of fun to browse the birds. Easy to use. **Developer response:** Thanks for mentioning the browse function. That's exactly what we had hoped -- birders doing relaxed study of birds they are curious about. The birds can tell a lot about themselves in the video clips. Nice departure from other birding apps but many birds are missing and video & images are unavailable offline. And why does it keep reminding me that purchases are not allowed when I already paid for app? The videos are much more helpful than photos alone and it’s full of useful information that makes birding and identification that much more enjoyable. The user interface is beautifully done. The videos show clear examples, which I have found more helpful than a single photo or drawing. As a whole the app is both informative and entertaining- I recommend to anyone interested in gaining appreciation and knowledge for birds and their song. ### 5/5 — FeatherFlix - an invitation into nature *2019-05-15* For me the most compelling reason to engage with FeatherFlix is the pure enjoyment of watching and listening to birds. That enjoyment engenders kinship with the natural world and the desire to go into nature and see actual birds. While videos are a helpful and entertaining 2D representation and a learning aid, there is nothing like the thrill of searching for and watching birds in their habitat. FeatherFlix helps us know names, where to look for each bird, and how to decode behaviors. The Ferris wheel presentation seemed risky at first but I've always been grateful to our designer for it. You should see the coding that makes it work!
