### 5/5 — A relationship saver

*2024-11-29*

Thanks so much for putting this app put there. It is like a universal translator for me and my partner. I can now use this visual guide to overcome my male tough guy alexithymia and to communicate the nuances of my big inner wheel feelings, using the detailed feelings in the outer wheel. This is a much more effective way to resolve conflict: to have a way to express my numerous conflicting feelings about an issue. This app, used often, along with a 90 second pause to collect myself, stops me making the rookie error of just jumping in as Mr Fixit whenever difficult and complex emotions arise.

### 5/5 — Excellent wheel

*2024-08-11, version 1.3.1*

I appreciate the variety of categories and feelings available to select! Only thing I would suggest is a place to write a blurb/journal for better tracking of when these feelings were felt

### 5/5 — Simple and perfect mental health app

*2024-01-04, version 1.3.1*

I really enjoy zooming in on the wheel and panning it as I spin my phone around to identify my emotion at the time of. Yes I know there’s a slide that spins the wheel digitally but it’s really satisfying to just spin the physical phone!

### 4/5 — I wish it had definitions

*2023-09-12*

I wish each emotion had a definition to read when selected. And perhaps an example or two of the emotion in use.

It is helpful to see all of the words to expand my emotional vocabulary but I still find myself having to look up what the definitions are.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the great suggestion! We’ve now added descriptions that you can see on the record confirmation screen, just tap the (i) info icon after selecting an emotion. We hope this helps expand your emotional vocabulary even more. Thanks for helping us improve the app! - Natasha

### 5/5 — Great app

*2023-09-01*

The only thing I’d love to see on this app would be a notes section so I can jot down the situation and keep a record of it

**Developer response:** Thanks so much for your thoughtful feedback and for using the app early on! We’ve since added a notes section, so you can now record the situation alongside each emotion. We’ve also added lots of other new features over time - hope you’ll check out the latest version and see what’s new! - Natasha

### 4/5 — My pros and wishes

*2023-07-08*

I’m using this off and on as I work on my emotional intelligence. I like the ease and availability! Features I would find useful, the ability to comment when I log feelings. This happened, this feeling is what I identify, I have felt this feeling historically when x happened or happened etc. I also sometimes do not find the feeling I am looking for, like grief, and could modify in the comments. Better still, ability to edit the feelings on the wheel.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your thoughtful feedback and for using the app on your emotional intelligence journey! Since your review, we’ve added the ability to add notes when logging feelings, so you can capture the context and details you mentioned. We’re also exploring options to customize emotions in the future, including editing the feelings on the wheel. In the meantime, please feel free to reach out to us anytime via the app - we’re now actively working on improvements and love hearing from our users! - Natasha

### 5/5 — Super simple app (with no unnecessary bells and whistles)

*2023-04-23*

Exactly what I was looking for - a portable version of the feelings/emotions wheel that I can refer to quickly and easily without having to carry a printout with me! Thank you

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re really happy to hear the app helps you access the feelings wheel quickly and easily. Since your review, we’ve added many new features while keeping the wheel simple and familiar. We hope you enjoy the latest updates! - Natasha

### 4/5 — Download results? Add comments?

*2023-04-18*

I love this app for its simplicity! I would love to download the results so we can look for patterns, such as always being overwhelmed on Mondays or every morning at 10 am…
Thanks!

**Developer response:** Thanks so much for your early support and thoughtful feedback! Since then, we’ve made lots of improvements, including both ability to download your data as a CSV, and time pattern analysis charts and insights exactly like you suggested. We’d love for you to check out the latest version! - Natasha

### 4/5 — Please make this update

*2023-03-20*

Loving the app, it would be perfect if you added a feature to analyze and organize the data by frequency and pattern of timing + feelings. Or at least the ability to export the data so we can do it ourselves

**Developer response:** Thanks so much for this thoughtful feedback, and for being an early supporter of the app! Since your review, we've added both data visualization and export features, so you can now track emotional patterns and analyze them more easily. Hope you’ll give the latest version a try! - Natasha

### 4/5 — Some potential is left on the table

*2023-03-03*

I wish there were a way to aggregate some of the date, ie. times of day and how often one notates each emotion and etc.

**Developer response:** Thanks so much for your thoughtful feedback! We’ve since added features to help aggregate and visualize your data, including tracking how often emotions are logged and when. We hope you’ll check out the latest version, it’s come a long way! - Natasha

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — great app, should be free

*2025-09-24*

amazing to create an app to track emotions. although cheap, it’s a massive let down to only be able to make 5 entries per month. it would be great to see mental health-related tools actually be accessible without a paywall. also there is hardly enough of an interface within the app to require a payed subscription.

**Developer response:** Update Jan 2026: The 5-entry limit has now been removed!

Hi Steven, I wanted to update you - there's no longer a limit of 5 notes entries per month! Unlimited notes are now completely free, so everyone can use emotion tracking with notes without restrictions. The Pro tier still offers extra features like personalized insights, charts, and data exporting, but the core functionality is fully accessible. Thank you again for your feedback. It directly helped us make the app better for everyone. I hope you’ll give it another try and let us know what you think!

- Natasha

### 3/5 — Wonderful tool but needs more options for positive emotions

*2025-07-17, version 4.1.0*

I am finding this helpful to see how my emotional states are always impermanent but would love it if there were more options for positive emotions - 3/4 of the wheel are negative emotions so that seems a little imbalanced. Please update in next version. Thank you!

### 3/5 — Is good

*2025-05-21, version 3.1.0*

Simple and doesn’t bomb you with questions on why you feel the emotion you picked n has a lot of emotions

### 3/5 — It’s what I expected.

*2025-05-10*

I was recommended this by my therapist and find the layout quite simple and easy to use as a little emotional diary/support, the app itself isn’t that money hungry and is genuinely a nice app to express yourself: no annoying pop ups asking you if you want to pay for premium but it is an option. Also, when you select an emotion you can add a little note to add a little bit more depth of why you feel that way, which I thought myself was quite a nice touch to the app. To conclude, the app in itself is quite nice: the only minor thing I would like to add is where you can choose colour schemes as some people quite enjoy having cute layouts in their phone and it would get more people to use it for longer periods of time as they are customising their wheel.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your kind words and feedback! I’m glad you’re enjoying the app. Colour customisation is something I’m planning to add, so please check back in future updates. Thanks again for your support! - Natasha, Indie Developer

### 3/5 — A good start

*2024-01-29*

I love that the wheel spins & you can record an emotion but it definitely needs a section to add a note to the feeling where you can expand on why you’re feeling this way or what has happened to make you feel this way. So it’s a bit incomplete if you ask me.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the thoughtful feedback - we’re so glad you’re enjoying the wheel and emotion tracking! You’ll be happy to know we’ve since added a notes feature, so you can now expand on what’s behind each feeling. We hope this makes the experience feel more complete and even more helpful. Thanks again for helping us improve! - Natasha

### 4/5 — This app is pretty good

*2025-11-16*

I like this app because it helps me notice what it is I’m felling. The only thing that is a little annoying is to do a lot of things you have to upgrade to pro and it’s not to much but I don’t thing you should have to pay for a simple app just so you can do things that you can do on the internet. Other than that I really like this app and recommend it.

**Developer response:** Thanks so much for your review! We’re really glad the app is helping you tune into your feelings.

We want to make sure the core tools - like the Feeling Wheel, recording emotions, and reviewing your history - are always completely free, so anyone can use them to support their mental health. Some extra features are part of Pro, which helps us maintain and improve the app, but the essential tools are always accessible to everyone.

Your feedback is really valuable, and we truly appreciate your support and recommendation.

Natasha

### 4/5 — Pretty great

*2025-10-02*

Would love to be able to select multiple feelings at once.
Also, the zoom/move rotate controls are a bit clunky and unintuitive. It would be great to have a third button that gives the user free rein with two fingers, with pinch/zoom + rotation as well.

**Developer response:** Thanks so much for taking the time to share your feedback! We really appreciate hearing how you use the app. In the latest update (version 4.2.0), we’ve improved touch interactions so zooming, moving, and rotating the wheel feels much smoother. We’d love to hear what you think of these changes, so feel free to reach out to support from inside the app.

Selecting multiple emotions at once is also on our roadmap for next year - stay tuned!

Natasha, Developer of Feeling Wheel

### 4/5 — Helpful but could be moreso

*2025-04-20*

I’ve been using this app for a couple months now and I find it helpful in tracking my emotions/how I feel in the moment. It’s something my psychiatrist recommended I do but I wish there was some way to add notes WITH the emotion. For example, if I logged that I was feeling sad, it’d be handy to have the ability to also note WHY I’m feeling that way if I know. Still a very thorough feeling wheel

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your feedback and for sharing how you use the app! I wanted to let you know that you can now add notes with each emotion in the latest version. I hope this makes tracking your feelings even more helpful. Thanks again for your support! - Natasha, Indie Developer

### 4/5 — You can’t see other emotions

*2025-03-17*

So I like it but though I can’t see other emotions like disgust and other emotions. Please and I want you to make another version that you can get more emotions.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your feedback! The latest version of Feeling Wheel includes more emotions, including disgust. I’m also exploring ways to let users customize their emotions in future updates. Your input truly helps shape the app, thank you! - Natasha, Indie Developer

### 4/5 — Great

*2024-06-03*

It’s amazing, and really good for showing how your feeling and also working out how you’re feeling, but it should have a place to write why you’re feeling, and an option to share your emotions with other people through things like WhatsApp

**Developer response:** Really glad to hear you found the app helpful for exploring and expressing your feelings - thank you! We've since added a notes feature so you can now write about why you're feeling a certain way. And you're right about sharing - it's a great idea, and we're currently working on adding options like WhatsApp sharing in a future update. Stay tuned! - Natasha
