I originally was just looking for a simple calculator that did fractions for my woodworking, but all of the extra tools it has is incredible. Also the ads for the free version aren't annoying, but I bought the upgrade anyways just to support the developer. I don’t think there is another app that has these features for the price. I love that the creator is constantly improving and adding features. I would like to ask if there is a way to print out some of the info or can be added without being too difficult. I can live without it but there are times that it would be very useful. I've recently added PDF exports to a few tools and would be happy to add more. ### 5/5 — Great and Easy to Use *2025-01-16* I am a CAD drafter/ detailer and I originally downloaded the free version and found myself using it constantly so I decided to buy the Lifetime version because I think it’s worth it. As you use it you start quickly understanding how it works. If I had to improve one thing it would be to make the fraction scroll buttons, all in different colors so they can be easily identified. 32nds in one color, 16th another color, 8th another, 4th another and 1/2 another. It will not allow me to enter a fraction of an inch. I tried the calculator app out and it would give me an answer to the 32nd. In construction we work mostly to the nearest 1/8” sometimes to the 1/16”. It would be handy if you could specify what fraction you need the answer to such as to the nearest 1/8”. Unfortunately, it’s 100% useless unless you’re connected to the Internet. Why the hell is an Internet connection required for a calculator? I can understand that you need ads for revenue but completely crippling the program unless it’s connected to the Internet it’s a bit ridiculous. While the design of the app is second to none [at least compared to the dozen or so apps that I have tried], The Internet connection requirement is absolutely the biggest possible dealbreaker. I use it all the time for fabrication. On the cut optimizer if you make the file to big you can not load the pdf file. Also on the cut optimizer you have to singly hit the minus/plus button to change quantity. This is aggravating with you have hundreds of pieces. You should be able to type the amount in. What started as a simple feet and inches calculator turned out to be a whole toolbox packed into one app. I keep finding more useful features every time I use it, from angle calculations to rafter sizing to staircase layout help. It is incredibly practical, easy to use, and clearly built with real-world projects in mind.
