Unfortunately, since one of the major iPhone updates a while back when the widgets were gone, things have not worked well. The widgets are back but they don’t work for me as pressing the specific bulb to turn on/off yields no action. A long press just takes me to the app itself. And for some reason, every time I go into the app to turn my light on/off, it tells me I have to turn my Bluetooth on first which was never needed before. Thankfully, I haven’t experienced the ads other reviewers mentioned (knock on wood). But it’s a bit frustrating that something that used to work perfectly no longer does. So if you leave on a vacation and you have these lights set to a schedule and the power gets disconnected every light connected will blink non stop day and night letting everyone walking by your house know you’re not home. Great design fellas!!! ### 1/5 — Bad company *2026-07-01, version 4.1.8* Have to sign up for an account to function properly. Needs your wifi password for some reason but it connects via bluetooth. They also want your location which is supposed to find light bulbs easily. You can manually add without doing this. I don’t want to give all the info they require to just change the color of a light bulb. There are occasional glitches where a device needs to be reset but I consider it an annoyance as I know the steps to take to resolve. I recently opened the app to turn a light on and was stunned by an intrusive ad covering my device list. Needless to say I was annoyed the first time, this time I am shopping for replacement products. I’ve been using feit for years and I think I’ve had just about enough self punishment. Sometimes it works fine, but often not. You have to fiddle with it constantly. Recently, the app updated or something and now you have to have your Bluetooth on and wait a bit before you can even use your lights. I originally purchased two A-19 base bulbs for my coach lights outside my garage. They worked okay for a while but then would turn off randomly. The app wouldn’t follow the schedule. I changed them out to another brand and have never had an issue. Now I’ve purchased RGB strip lights that were supposed to chase each other and be fun for a game room. That is not the case. The colors are horrendous to what they claim to be. There are random sections of the strip light that sometimes work and sometimes don’t. The app control is just as bad, adjust the brightness and it adjusts the color, two sets of strips and I can’t sync them together with the same color. Dimmers are a bit hard to set but once you catch the pattern is ok . I got 12 dimmers , all my house and they work perfect. The cameras are the best for who doesn’t want a monthly paid service . They connect and respond super fast to your app/ phone. One big disappointment is Feit doesn’t upgrade their security cameras to 2.5 k or 4 k faster while a lot of Mickey Mouse brand already flooded the market with 2.5 k . Same Feit quality in 2.5 or 4k is long overdue. ### 5/5 — App is so easy to use *2026-07-21, version 4.1.8* I bought the Feit smart bulbs after trying out the Kasa, smart bulbs. These bulbs were so much easier to program. The app is so easy to use with my iPhone. I have programmed my bulb for all different colors. The range on the WiFi far exceeded my expectations. My router is in the center of my house and the camera is mounted on the exterior of my detached garage 40-50 yards from the house. I have another phone that is running an older version of this app is able to see the SD card recording.
