I like the granularity and ability to specify temperatures and pulse numbers/times. I generally enjoy dialling in coffees I’ve sourced myself so I don’t mind not having drops in the UK. The one feature I’d love is a ‘Brew Now’ option in the app. Quite often I leave the machine setup for babysitters and I have to try and predict what time they’d like the coffee ready for. If I’m wrong I have to then use the app and set the brew time for 15 minutes time, then pray it syncs. Please add a brew now option! I don’t want to spend another 10 minutes of a concert or meal out describing how to use the dial, find the right profile etc… ### 2/5 — Works fine but so much potential *2026-07-24, version 1.4.4* No brew now option from the app, can’t tell if the schedule is going to run without error without looking at the actual coffee maker. Their software is just “fine” *2026-06-13, version 1.4.3* Fellow product hardware is some of the best, most intentional product design out there in the coffee space. Their software gets the job done, and looks like they’ve finally—after years of owning an Aiden—started fixing some of the worst, most annoying bugs in the software. And for that, I’m grateful! One request, it’d be amazing if I could add notes to my profiles (like special grind settings or other little extra details). And if those could be stored locally, or via iCloud rather than on fellows servers that’d be great. ### 1/5 — Troubleshooting still no app link *2026-05-25, version 1.4.3* Even with troubleshooting, over multiple days, I have not been able to get the kettle connected to the fellow app. Very disappointing and frustrating to purchase and item and not be able to use some features as offered in the app. ### 2/5 — Great coffeemaker, lousy app *2026-05-23, version 1.4.3* The machine makes a great cup of coffee. But the app seems designed to show off to their friends in the coffee industry how cool they are, not to add wireless functionality to the product that, ya know, consumers are buying. What the heck are “drops” and why are they the centerpiece of this app? Why isn’t there a brew now button? Just spent 45 minutes. Did all the trouble shooting steps. Tried 2.4GHz wifi, hard reset of machine, uninstall/reinstall app, no luck! ### 3/5 — Missing a lot of features *2026-03-29, version 1.4.2* It would be really nice to have an option to start preheating the espresso machine in the app. It would’ve been really nice if the features for the espresso machine had been added before release, particularly considering the machine was delayed. ### 4/5 — Basic but works for me *2026-03-24, version 1.4.2* I read the terrible reviews and thought it only right that I report that I downloaded the app today, it found my machine (an Aiden) quickly, updated the firmware immediately, and let me fine tune the coffee machine easily. So no problems whatsoever. The thing is I mistyped my email address (as a nonsense word obviously not an email) which the app now treats as a username (and the Fellows website let me sign in with it) but there is no way I can correct the error. So the app works but it is basic; and if the manufacturer wants to email me, well - good luck with that! I’d love to let you know how to do it but you’ve accepted a nonsense address and I can’t change it! ### 1/5 — Poor functionality *2026-03-24, version 1.4.2* Poor app design, especially function. But after spending a whole morning trying to connect my machine to the app (and following all troubleshooting tips), I’m giving up. But the real fun starts when it makes coffee the very next day AFTER it was scheduled to run and pour water everywhere. Well I downloaded the app and after multiple attempts to get it working and trying to figure out why the kettle wouldn’t connect, you learn through Google that the Kettle doesn’t work with the Fellow app. Instead you have to download a separate app called “EKG Updater”. For how good Fellow’s branding and products are I would assume a QR code, better instructions in the wrong app and the instruction manual, and a single app experience would be something they would strive for. ### 1/5 — Total garbage *2026-06-13, version 1.4.3* Why on earth do we need an app to make coffee?
