## Most critical reviews (5 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2020-02-10, version 1.1.1*

Had high hopes for this. But every time I try to create a new note it crashes. Every time. Renders this app completely useless.

**Developer response:** I have your crash report, I'm going to fix that up and push an update out soon. Thanks for the feedback!

Update: I've fixed your issue, and I'm pushing the update as soon as I can.

### 4/5 — Hidden gem

*2020-06-13, version 1.2.2*

Great little basic text editor. No big bulky features I don’t need. Opens and saves plain text files compatible with everything.

Best “hidden” feature, fully functional as a side-over app on my iPad. Need to jot down a quick note? Side it out, type, and slide it back. Perfect!

### 5/5 — clean, well-designed text editor

*2023-01-23, version 1.2.2*

I’m always on the lookout for a simple file-based (vs database) text editor that doesn’t get in my way and allows me to use Dropbox, which contains all my files and quick access scratchpads. The settings are straightforward and support the simple purpose. It’s easy to open a new note/doc (directly from the home screen icon), and send its contents via the share menu, which duplicates the functionality of some far more complicated apps. Even though it hasn’t been updated in a couple years, it’s solid. hope development continues.

### 5/5 — Perfect MD Note Taking App

*2020-04-17, version 1.2.1*

Femto is a great note taking app, but I cannot seem to save a note. I can’t find the button or anything of the sort when I want to save a note. The only thing I can do is just leave that note open until I don’t need it anymore and start a blank one. Is there something I’m missing? A simple button to save is all I’m asking for.

Edit: After a quick response from the developer, I have figured out how to save notes. Props to this app which helps me in the day to day, and to Justin for the fast replies and supporting his users.

**Developer response:** Notes save automatically when either the keyboard is dismissed or when the app is exited. If you're on iPadOS with an external keyboard, you can use CMD+S to save as well. When a note is saved, you should see an alert saying so (which will be more clear in the upcoming update).

### 5/5 — Nail? Hammered.

*2020-02-23, version 1.1.2*

Fast easy markdown impulse-capture idiot-proof. You had one job, one! And ya f€%k1ng nailed it.
