On est loin d’avoir une solution complète mais l’essentiel est là. Des amplis modélisés avec une qualité irréprochable, des effets, un accordeur, des pistes pour jammer… et quelques autres fonctionnalités qui en font une alternative à garageband pour les guitaristes. Interface horrible, il ne faut pas s’arrêter à ça ### 3/5 — headphone problem *2026-02-18* Headphones will not work on up-to-date imac. The headphones work on all other sound options on the computer. In the Fender Studio drop down menu under Audio Setup and Playback Device only imac Speakers is shown (speaker cable is connected to imac.) I want this app to work properly before I invest in a Fender Link device. ### 2/5 — Buggy *2026-02-16, version 1.2.1* Not a fan of having to log in literally every time. Functions just fine but it gets annoying anytime I got an idea I get asked to log in before anything else. ### 2/5 — Registration issues continue *2026-01-27* iPad m4 and iPhone 17. iRig usb. It worked once or twice. Hangs regularly when starting. It’s hit or miss getting it to start jiggling the toilet handle. Too unreliable to trust. Remove the hoops to jump through the inane anti user friendly login/registration and it may be practical. The export to desktop app is amazing but if you can’t open the app, its function brilliant or not is entirely inconsequential. ### 4/5 — Drum metronome *2026-01-20, version 1.2.1* Can’t find the 75 patterns. But Fender Studio is extremely buggy. By day two it stopped playing or downloading any jam tracks. They start and fail in under a second, making the app unusable for my main intended purpose. The sign-in flow is also broken: I often get a 500 error, or it just fails with no message. After I finally get signed in, many jam tracks still appear locked and the app tells me to sign in again, even though I already am. Please fix these issues. **Developer response:** This was a server issue over the weekend for registration - it should now be resolved ### 3/5 — . *2025-10-12* The app really needs background audio support. When I switch to the home screen, the app stops playing, which is quite inconvenient. It would be great to have more guitar amp models and effects available — the current selection feels too limited. There are several bugs. The app often freezes or crashes, and I’ve had to reboot it multiple times. Get it! **Developer response:** Some issues with registration have been resolved – please try again ### 2/5 — Effects Issue *2025-08-06, version 1.0.2* I recently just got the Link I/O to work with the app and was super excited. I got my guitar to come through through my headphones when I’m hooked up to my IPad with the USB-C cable, but it won’t record any sound and none of the effects work. I tried to troubleshoot by looking stuff up online but it won’t even let me change the Audio Setup menu. I think this could be a great app but I’m very disappointed that it’s not working. If a developer could help me work through my problem I’d greatly appreciate it because if not then I have no choice but to send it back. But when I tried to sign up, no matter what I did, it said not authenticating, or error, and all that stuff. ### 3/5 — Ok to a point *2025-07-28* I have a mustang micro plus, but without purchasing an expensive Apple USB 3 to lightning Camera adapter I can only record using the iPad microphone. Not sure if I’m doing something wrong, but simply plugging the Mustang Micro into the iPad doesn’t work. I do have a camera adapter, but version 1 so not compatible. Whenever I tap "Jam" it doesn't let me open it, and the recording doesn't work either. It's prolly just a little bug, it would be great if y'all could fix this. This is the reason many of us aren’t happy with Fender’s acquisition of Presonus Apple’s Garageband, as imperfect as it is, still prepares someone for Logic Pro in how the channel strips are set up. ### 1/5 — Does’t work at all *2026-02-07, version 1.2.1* I loved the idea of multitrack recording my gigs. I have a Presonus 24r mixer which suppose to work seamlessly with this app. As soon as i connect the usb cable it crashes. What a joke! ### 1/5 — Audio not working right. *2026-01-22* I’m using this with a fender link io on an iPhone 17 pro max, and when monitoring the audio in studio it cuts out like crazy. If I change to monitoring the input signal on the I/O device it sounds fine there. Wiggling all the connections changes nothing. So it has to be a software or compatibility issue. I tired all different bitrates and sample sizes, no difference. I don’t know if it’s the hardware or the software, but it’s completely unusable. Developer said there was an update and to try again. There has been no update. Just double checked on the App Store again, and no update has been installed and no update is available. Still broken. **Developer response:** This should now be fixed, please try again ### 1/5 — Server Error *2025-11-25* As mentioned by others, can’t register because of a 500 Server error. Most of the Jams are locked but that doesn’t really matter because you can’t use the Jam mode! Update: Just receive a reply that the server problem has been fixed but I’m still getting the same 500 Server Error when trying to register. I even created a new ID and password which didn’t help! It basically says that on the cover - if you could read..! I for one am happy to see putting out free utilities for guitarists and I think it’s going to do wonders for their brand, and in my case it’s bringing back a little love for the name in the first place. Keep it up, please! :) ### 5/5 — Re-synchronization issue. *2025-08-09* So I misunderstood how to adjust the buffers in Fender Studio, my bad, so it's the bit rate and once I set it to 512, everything is OK. I've actually recorded several songs in the software and they came out pretty good. But tonight it started crashing. When you execute it, it won't fully open, it hangs and then it eventually closes, rebooted but that did not rectify the issue. Anybody else having this issue.? On a iPad Pro 12.9 from 2021. so this is an update, so I found a walk around for my issue, if I assure the USB cable is not plugged into my tablet when I execute fender studio, it opens just fine. I just have to make sure that the USB port is not plugged into my tablet when I first initialize Fender studio.
