They have answered all my emails for months and months. They do not reply and if you find the phone number, it goes straight to voicemail. ### 1/5 — Scam app *2025-01-17* I’ve tried withdrawing funds multiple times and it doesn’t withdraw. I’ve waited a month and tried numerous times, even getting the confirmation email of the withdrawal, but never actually getting the money withdrawn and deposited into my bank account. On top of that, I’ve contacted support multiple times to cancel my subscription and they do not answer even though they have answered other emails from me about other subjects. They purposely will not answer emails in order to prevent you from canceling your subscriptions. DO NOT DOWNLOAD ### 1/5 — Scam. Complete garbage *2025-01-13* Support has not replied to my emails in over a month, where i keep asking for my accounts to be closed, yet they have the gall to try and continue charging me $5 a month per account. Absolutely ridiculous for a brokerage where you’re supposed to feel safe keeping your money. There is no phone support and the email support doesn’t reply AT ALL, like not even an email confirming they got your message. 0/10, put your money somewhere like schwab because at least you’ll know you’re good. ### 1/5 — Hard to cancel *2025-01-11, version 1.6.44* Trying to cancel and no response . But they keep charging me. ### 1/5 — Scammers *2024-12-30* This app illegally held my securities and cash. I sold a stock position, and they fraudulently created a short position by retroactively removing the position I sold (How is this even possible??). They did not allow me to cover my “short” for weeks. They did not let me withdraw any money. Eventually, they covered the position at the peak of the stock price, and put my account at a negative balance. After fraudulently and illegally putting my account at a negative balance, they then THREATEN to blackmail me from other financial institutions if I did deposit enough to cover the negative balance. One of the most blatantly fraudulent apps I have ever used. I will be making a complaint with the consumer bureau, BBB, and SEC. I will also be contacting my bank to reverse all deposits for monthly fees and deposits. I encourage all other victims of this app to do the same. I know this happened to many others by recent reviews, so it is not an isolated incident. Scamming and fraud is their business model. ### 1/5 — Fine until you need to cancel *2024-12-30, version 1.6.43* They take their sweet time to cancel your accounts, meanwhile racking up fees and still billing you ### 1/5 — Changed for the worst *2024-12-21* I used to love this brokerage but they quickly went back in everything they used to represent. I’ve had money stuck in the brokerage for months with the inability to withdraw or close any open positions on my outstanding shares. Customer support also went downhill quickly, and I am now stuck paying $5/month for all my accounts because all attempts to let me close my accounts have been ignored. Predatory practices and not worth $5/month to begin with as the software is unreliable and glitchy with inaccurate account balances being displayed. ### 1/5 — SCAM!! BEWARE *2024-12-20, version 1.6.43* I created several fennel accounts and the app has had a lot of problems so I have now requested to close my accounts 6 times and they are refusing to close the accounts and by keeping them open they keep charging me fees that are ongoing. Beware with this brokerage!!! ### 1/5 — WORST FINANCIAL APP *2024-12-19, version 1.6.43* By far one of the worst experiences I ever had. The apps glitches and it’s unavailable constantly. Also they charge you $5 monthly and half the time I wanted to use it for a reason or another the app was not working. Their customer service is hit or miss, sometimes they don’t answer for months others they answer quickly with pre-typed emails. Seems like scam or illegal activity going on ### 1/5 — READ THIS BEFORE OPENING AN ACCOUNT *2024-11-19* I have to say Fennel was easily the best brokerage out there at one point, however that has IMMENSELY changed in the last couple weeks. Fennel has now thrown their users under the bus and sided with corporate america and is even now illegally locking a good deal of their users’ accounts, including their funds. Myself, along with several of my friends and colleagues cannot even access their money and are locked out of this feature, right before Christmas when we need to buy xmas presents for our children and family members!! Not to mention my family depends on this income I make in my fennel accounts to pay everyday expenses, utilities, groceries, etc. Now we do not even know how we will buy food and pay our bills. My friends and colleagues who use fennel are now having to talk to lawyers about litigating against fennel to get access to our funds in our trading accounts. This is OUR money!! Yet Fennel believes they have the legal right to lock our money up and not allow any withdrawals until December 15th!!!WHATEVER YOU DO, AVOID THIS BROKERAGE OR YOU WILL HAVE TO GO THROUGH ALL THIS TURMOIL SOMEDAY ALSO!! CAN YOU IMAGINE BEING TOLD BY YOUR BROKERAGE YOU CAN’T HAVE ANY ACCESS TO YOUR MONEY FOR A FULL MONTH!? ### 1/5 — Worst support out of any brokerage *2024-11-11* They don't have a phone number or any contact apart from an email address that was impossible to find without digging for iy. And even if you do email them, they probably won't respond (they just ghosted me). Not to mention the brokerage account costs $5 a month while it's free at most brokerages. You would expect that a PAID brokerage would have something to offer for the extra cost, like more features or better support. But no, Fennel is somehow more expensive yet worse than other brokerages. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2024-11-01, version 1.6.40* No customer support feedback at all. Left 6 emails and 3 voicemails. Either will not let me create an account or just constantly stay pending review. There’s no customer service phone number, and all communication has to go through email — which leads nowhere. They control your wallet, and you can’t sell your positions due to their own restrictive policies. Even worse, they keep charging $13–$15 every month, and if you don’t pay, they threaten collections — even though my account is locked and I can’t access or close it. I’ve been trying for years to shut it down, but they always come up with excuses and delays. At this point, I’m still being billed for an account I can’t use. This company’s practices feel completely unethical and misleading. They seriously want to rip people off as much as they can. The app itself is slow and clumsy. It works but you never know if you’ve loaded or something is screwed that you have to reset. I can imagine anyone uses this for anything much longer. Having to pay fennels 5$ a month fee including a 60$ closing fee is criminal.
