## What is Fermat's Math Puzzle?

Merge the numbers nature loves.

Fermat's Math Puzzle is a relaxing merge puzzle built on the most beautiful ideas in mathematics. Tap an empty square to place a tile — when two neighbors are consecutive Fibonacci numbers (1+1, 1+2, 2+3, 3+5…), they merge into the next one. If the result meets another neighbor, the chain keeps going, and every link multiplies your score by the golden ratio φ (1.618…).

Features

• One tap to play — you only decide where to place. A round fits in a coffee break.
• Chain reactions — every merge blooms into a spiral of particles and a chord climbing a perfect fifth.
• Golden ratio bonus — chains multiply your score by φ, then φ², then φ³…
• Swap the NEXT tile — three swaps per game to get you out of a tight board.
• Daily Challenge — everyone in the world gets the same tiles today.
• Game Center leaderboards — compare your best score and your daily rank worldwide.

Built out of mathematics

Everything you see and hear follows the math:

• The specks drifting in the background sit on Fermat spirals at the golden angle (137.5°), the same arrangement as seeds in a sunflower head.
• Tile colors are spaced around the hue wheel by the golden ratio, so neighboring numbers stay as far apart in color as possible.
• The title screen is a golden spiral, widening by φ every quarter turn.
• The soundtrack is generated on your device as you play, tuned in just intonation (pure ratios 1 : 9/8 : 5/4 : 3/2 : 5/3), with melodies that walk the scale in Fibonacci steps.

You might like this if you

• enjoy 2048 and other merge puzzles
• want a few quiet minutes between tasks
• like it when math, color, and sound turn out to be the same thing

About ads

No forced ads, ever. Nothing interrupts a game. An ad plays only when you choose a reward — continuing a run, or refilling your swaps — and the one-time Premium purchase removes even those.

Plays offline; a connection is only needed for leaderboards and reward ads.
